DC’s Black Adam: Dwayne Johnson Shares New Image From The Reshoots
It’s been 15 years since Dwayne Johnson was first attached to star as Black Adam in the homonymous DC movie. After going through several circles of the development hell, the movie will finally see the day’s light next October, when it finally hits theaters.
Black Adam has been in development since 2007, many writers and directors were changed, and only Dwayne Johnson remained attached to the role he was born to play. The movie was initially set to be released in December 2021 before the pandemic moved it to July 2022, and it was recently delayed to October so that the film’s crew can have more time to do reshoots and finish the work on the visual effects.
Dwayne Johnson is currently reshooting some parts of the movie before the movie enters the final phase of post-production, and he shared a new image where he’s posing on the set in the character’s suit. You can check the image and the description Johnson made down below:
“Intense week of production continues as we put the finishing touches on BLACK ADAM⚡️ Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of playing some great (fun) characters over the years, but none speak to my DNA more than this antihero known as the man in black, Teth Adam. Rage against the dying of the light. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.” — Dwayne Johnson
Black Adam will be set in the DC Extended Universe. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and starring Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Black Adam movie is set to be released on October 21, 2022.
