Before ‘Final Destination 5’ came out in 2011, Tony Todd said two more sequels might be made if it was a success. In 2019, New Line Cinema announced a new movie was in development. The first script, written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, was described as a fresh take on the series. In 2020, producer Craig Perry revealed it would focus on first responders like EMTs, firefighters, and police officers.

The plot is still mostly under wraps but the official synopsis teases what we might expect. The new ‘Final Destination’ movie might have two connected storylines, one in the past and one in the present. In the 1960s, a grandmother has a vision of a building collapsing and saves people from dying.
Years later, her granddaughter also starts having visions, this time about her family members dying. She soon realizes that these deaths are happening in a specific order. This could connect to the events of the original’ Final Destination’ movie.
“In the 1960s, a grandmother predicts the collapse of a building and saves a group of people from death. Decades later, her granddaughter also begins to have visions of the death of her family members and later begins to realize that there is a sequence.”
