‘Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2’ Heads West This August With New Story Arc and Special Bonuses

SEGA has officially confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be released in Europe and North America on August 5, 2025.
The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and later on Nintendo Switch. Alongside the announcement, a brand-new trailer has dropped, giving fans a glimpse into the thrilling Entertainment District Arc featured in Story Mode.
Digital pre-orders begin on March 3, 2025, for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. The Nintendo Switch version will follow with pre-orders opening at a later date.
The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at €69.99 and includes the full game along with early access beginning on July 31, 2025. Players who choose this edition will receive exclusive character unlocks, special voice packs, and alternate combat outfits.
Pre-ordering also unlocks Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji as playable characters. This edition must be pre-ordered before August 5 and will not be available for Nintendo Switch.
The Standard Digital Edition will be available for €59.99 and includes the full game, two Academy version character unlocks, and the same two pre-order bonus characters. The Physical Edition, also priced at €59.99, is available for pre-order now and comes with the base game and two limited-time character unlocks, Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji.
Players with save data from previous Demon Slayer games will also receive special in-game bonuses. If you have saved data from the first Hinokami Chronicles, you’ll unlock six characters in their Kimetsu Academy versions.
If you played Sweep the Board!, you’ll receive a unique combined character made up of Hinatsuru, Makiwo, and Suma, along with their matching combat outfits.
To use these save data bonuses, players must be on the same platform they used for the previous titles.
