‘Detective Conan’ and ‘Mission: Impossible’ Release Surprising Collaboration Visuals and Video You Simply Have to See
As far as franchises are concerned, Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise is one of the best and most popular ones, without a doubt. This action series about special agent Ethan Hunt and his global adventure has captured the hearts of fans and is one of the best examples how a franchise is made.
At the same time, when it comes to major anime franchises, Detective Conan has been around even longer than One Piece, and is without a doubt one of the most recognizable brands when it comes to the animanga industry.
Why talk about them? Well, the two franchise have just made a very interesting collaboration in Japan and we wanted to share it with you!
Cruise’s franchise is going to see the global release of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, potentially Cruise’s final appearance as Ethan Hunt, later this month, after the movie had its Tokyo premiere on May 5, 2025.
At the same time, the Detective Conan franchise is currently enjoying the box office success of its latest movie, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, which is currently Japan’s biggest cinematic outing of 2025.
In light of that fact, the two franchises have decided to release the following collaboration video:
The video is a promotion of the Detective Conan franchise, but it also features an interesting commentary on Cruise’s upcoming movie from the anime’s cast members. Alongside that, the final moments of the video show some scenes from the latest Detective Conan movie.
On top of that, a special visual has been released, which features Ethan Hunt and Kogoro Mori, who has a wound in the same place as Hunt, and is accompanied by the catchphrase, “Look at me. I’m doing my best.” The visual will be displayed at Ikebukuro Hit Vision and Ikebukuro PARCO Vision in front of Ikebukuro Station for a limited time from May 19th to 26th.
