Disney Characters that Start with J: All 44 Names

Disney characters are some of our most beloved childhood companions and they will never be forgotten. We meet new ones and build a big database of interesting and special protagonists who we want to remember. A great way to do that is to make lists of characters based on the first letter of their names. This is the list of Disney characters that start with j.

Jack Jack (The Incredibles 2)

Jack-Jack Parr is Bob and Helen’s youngest son and despite coming from a family of superheroes, it was initially believed he has no superpowers of his own. It was later discovered that he has at least 17 powers. He is a small baby with blue eyes and a single blonde tuft of hair. 

He acts like a typical baby, smiles and giggles all the time, but his powers are driven by his emotions so it can get pretty dynamic and intense. He is also very wise for such a small baby.

Joanna (The Rescuers Down Under)

Joanna is Percival’s pet monitor lizard, very similar to her owner, mean scary and way more intelligent than she is given credit for. She loves eggs and animal crackers and often suffers when abused by her owner.

Jackson Storm (Cars 3)

Storm is a Piston Cup racer and Lightning Rival, a self-centred, cocky and confident individual who believes he represents the future of car racing. He has little regard for the old race car generations and is determined to beat everyone who gets in his way.

Jock (Lady and the Tramp)

Jock is Lady and Trusty’s close friend, a short, slender and irritable Scottish terrier with grey fur and black eyes. He is sweet and loyal and essentially good-hearted, but is the most aggressive of all Lady’s friends and can get pretty stingy at times.

Jacques (Finding Nemo)

Jacques is a shrimp with a French accent who decontaminates new fish that arrive at the dentist’s tank. He is a very systematic and classy cleaner and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness. 

Joe (Lady and the Tramp)

Joe is an Italian culinary artist who runs Tony’s with his longtime friend Tony. He is good-natured and a loyal employee but can get annoyed with Tony’s short temperament. He is slender and has curly black hair and black eyes. 

Jafar (Aladdin)

Jafar is the Royal Vizier of Agrabah, presented as the Sultan’s most loyal and trusted advisor, but in fact, he is a sly and evil individual who wants to get ahold of a magical lamp that contains an extremely powerful genie. Jafar is portrayed as a crazy psychopath who will erase everything and everyone that stands in his way.

Joe Gardner (Soul)

Joe is a middle-school band teacher who is not really satisfied with the way his life turned out. He has always dreamed of performing jazz music in front of an audience and has finally been given the opportunity. He is an Afro-American man with a black moustache and loves pizza and his family.

Jake (The Rescuers Down Under)

Jake is a slim and athletic kangaroo mouse with a long tail and light brown fur. He is a typical tough guy who talks and behaves that way, especially about the ones he doesn’t like He is known to be fearless and sarcastic.

John (Peter Pan)

John darling is John and Mary’s middle child, a slender and tall boy with dark brown hair, brown eyes and glasses. He is like his father, speaks in a sophisticated way and is often mocked for it by his younger brother Michael.

He is interested in piracy and is very brave and clever and pretty mature for his age.

Jane (Tarzan)

Jane is Tarzan’s big love interest, a talented and eccentric ethnologist who arrives in the jungle to study gorillas together with her father. She is a woman in her early 20s, with long brown hair and blue eyes. She is intelligent and gifted and even though coming from the upper class, she isn’t their true representative.

John Ratcliffe (Pocahontas)

Governor John Ratcliffe is the main antagonist in this movie, a greedy and pompous villain, very xenophobic, insulting, manipulative and cruel. He is a tall and obese man with long black hair tied up in two short pigtails.

Jangles (Inside Out)

Jangles the Clown is one of Riley’s greatest fears, a giant clown with blue hair, a white face and a creepy smile. He is in fact a normal-sized clown, but Riley sees him as a menace, a monster that is going to hurt her.

John Smith (Pocahontas)

John Smith is an English explorer who took part in Governor Ratcliffe’s expedition to Virginia. He is a handsome young man with shoulder-length blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. He is portrayed as a courageous and good man with some prejudice towards Native Americans, until he meets and falls in love with Pocahontas.

Jaq (Cinderella)

Jaq is one of Cinderella’s animal friends, a fearless, talkative and quick-brained mouse who speaks in a broken form of English, called “Mouse Latin”. He is slender and brown and very brown, being the first to stand to Lucifer, Lady Tremaine’s evil cat.

Prince John (Robin Hood)

Prince John is King Richard’s younger brother, a skinny, slender lion without a mane. He is greedy, loves money and is a coward and a crybaby with an extremely short temper.

James (The Princess and the Frog)

James is Tiana’s father, protective and supportive of his daughter and believes that you can accomplish anything with hard work. He was a caring and loving father who left his daughter way too early.

Jasmine (Aladdin)

Jasmine is the beautiful, independent and rebellious princess of Agrabah with a strong sense of obligation to her kingdom. She is slender, with an hourglass figure, olive skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes. 

John (Wall-E)

John is a human passenger aboard the Axiom, a big man with blonde hair and brown eyes. He is the one who notices WALL-E dancing with Eve.

Jasper (101 Dalmatians)

Jasper is a short-tempered and mouthy lowly crook who serves as Cruella’s henchmen, together with his colleague Horace.

He is the leader of the duo, tall, skinny, pretty aggressive and enjoys drinking alcohol. 

Johnny Worthington (Monsters University)

Jose Carioca is Brazilian a parrot, a slick malandro from Rio de Janeiro. He is Donald duck’s friend and opposite, suave, cool, talkative, extremely benevolent and charming. He enjoys parties, is described as a ladies’ man and he carries around an umbrella using it as a cane.  

Jebidiah Farnsworth (Atlantis)

Jebidiah “Cookie” Farnsworth is a chef of the expedition to the lost city of Atlantis, a slender, elderly man with a white beard and white eyebrows and a great cook.

Joshua Sweet (Atlantis)

Joshua Sweet is a medical officer of the expedition to the lost city of Atlantis. He is a big, tall and muscular man, completely bald and with dark skin. He is mostly seen wearing an army tank top and string boots with waterproof covers.

Jenny (Finding Dory)

Jenny is Dory’s mother, half-circle shaped with dark magenta eyes and slightly bucked flat teeth. She is patient, kind, caring, understanding and tends to worry. She loves spending time with her family, laughing at her husband’s jokes and praising her daughter.

Joy (Inside Out)

Joy is the main emotion out of the five that live inside Riley’s mind. She is happy all the time and full of energy. She has light amber skin, a blue pixie cut and large blue eyes. She is outgoing, smart, optimistic, hyperactive, loves Riley and feels a special bond with her as the first emotion that materialises in her mind.

Jenny (Oliver and Company)

Jenny Foxworth is the wealthy owner of Oliver and Georgette, a slender and sweet 8-year-old girl with blue eyes and short red hair. She is polite, kind, gentle, fun-loving, empathetic and imaginative. She loves her pets and takes care of them.

Jubileena (Wreck-It-Ralph)

Jubileena is a character in Sugar Rush, a pretty young girl with short red hair and light brown eyes, always with a contagious smile on her face. She is fun-loving, enthusiastic and happy-go-lucky, jumping and dancing when she gets excited.

Jesse is a member of the band 4*Town and their oldest member. He can be perceived as arrogant but is still caring, especially towards his band. He has short, blonde hair and blue eyes and a beauty mark under his nose.

Julieta Madrigal (Encanto)

Julieta is Alma and Pedro’s eldest daughter, a nurturing caretaker with the power to cook healing foods. She is a 50-year-old woman with tan skin, brown eyes and short curly brown hair. She is very supportive and affectionate with the youngest members of her family. 

Jessie (Toy Story 2)

Jessie is the Yodeling Cowgirl and one of Woody’s friends. She has long ginger hair worn in a big braid, green eyes and a smile on her face. She is dressed like a typical cowgirl and wears long pants, boots and a white shirt.

Julio (Coco)

Julio was Coco Rivera’s husband and Imelda and Hector’s son-in-law who died at the age of 75. He had grey hair and brown eyes and worked as a shoemaker. 

Jim Crow (Dumbo)

Jim is also known as Dandy Crow and he is the leader of the flock of wisecracking crows. He is classy, sophisticated and smokes a cigar, having a high opinion of himself, with his vest, spats and a derby hat. He is intelligent and almost always the one who talks in the group. 

Jumba (Lilo&Stitch)

Jumba Jookiba is a self-proclaimed evil genius responsible for the creation of Experiment 626. He is a large and obese alien resembling a hippo with pale pink skin on his face and purple skin mostly on the back. He is comical and endearing, despite his “evil” reputation. 

Jim Dear (Lady and the Tramp)

Jim Dear is Lady and Tramp’s owner, a loving and caring man, to his wife and their pets. He enjoys reading the newspapers and wearing hats, spending time with his family and dogs and has a fear that something might happen to his son.

Jumbo (Dumbo)

Mrs Jumbo is Dumbo’s loving and protective mother who doesn’t speak throughout the whole movie, besides for one line at its beginning. Her eyes are blue, but when she loses her temper, they turn deep red.

Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet)

Jim is Sarah Hawkins’ only son who embarks on a journey to find the Treasure Planet in hope that he will become wealthy after finding it and use it for his and his mother’s prosperity. He is a caring young man, with an adventurous and rebellious side to him. He is friendly, brave and selfless and a very good friend and ally.

Jiminy Cricket (Pinocchio)

Jiminy is a wise and intelligent cricket who is always seen wearing a top hat and a tailcoat and having an umbrella in his hands. He is pale green, with black eyes and two hairs on the top of his head that resemble real-life insect antennae. He is a realist who didn’t really believe in magic at the beginning but changed his mind by the end. 

J. Worthington Foulfellow (Pinocchio)

Foulfellow, also known as Honest John is a con artist fox, a seasoned crook, charismatic and soft-spoken. He is tall and slender and has a beige face and muzzle.

He is portrayed as foxes usually are, sly and cunning, intelligent and deceiving and can convince anybody to do what he wants.

Jin Lee (Turning Red)

Jim is Mei’s good-hearted father who is aware of her daughter’s abilities and wants to protect her from them. He is an Asian man of average height, with light skin, brown eyes and glasses. He is a voice of reason in the family, a calm man who enjoys the little things in life, such as cooking for his family and gardening.
