There are so many Disney characters we grew up with but continue watching them nowadays as well, meeting new ones and learning about their strengths and abilities. We want them to be remembered and one of the best ways to do that is to make lists based on the first letter of their names. This is the list of Disney characters that start with z.
Zangief (Wreck-It-Ralph)
Zangief is a character from the game Street Fighter II, coming from Russia and using wrestling techniques in combat. He is a part of the Bad-Anon villain supporter group but is not canonically a villain. He is a big, muscular man, with a hairy chest and a mohawk.
Zarina (The Pirate Fairy)
Zarina is a curious dust-keeper fairy intrigued by blue pixie dust and wonders about its numerous magical properties. She is fair-skinned, with thick wavy auburn hair and light hazel eyes. She is a master in pixie dust and can create, control and easily comprehend its magical abilities. She is rebellious, speaks her mind and doesn’t like being told what to do.
Zazu (The Lion King)
Zazu is a serious, uptight red-billed hornbill, a majordomo and royal advisor to the Pride Lands monarchy. His role is to keep order within the kingdom, but he is unfortunately rarely taken seriously, thanks to his small size and fragile temper. He is diplomatic and wise, but emotionally unstable and anxious, all due to the demanding and dangerous nature of his job.
Zed (Planes)
Zed is Team Ripslinger’s bombastic racer specialised in sabotage, lacking the skills to outrace the competition, so he simply eliminates it. He is a reckless flier, white with green wings and comes from New Zealand.
Zelda (The Fox and the Hound 2)
Zelda is Dixie’s cat entourage who always stands by her and takes care of her regaining her place in the Singin Strays. She sympathises with Dixie’s pain and feelings and is ready to fight with and for her.
Zephyr (The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2)
Zephyr is a sweet young boy who enjoys things that children like, such as circus and playing with balls. He is Quasimodo’s big friend and loves spending time with him.
He has golden blonde hair like his father and emerald green eyes like his mother.
Zeus (Hercules)
Zeus is the mighty ruler of Gods who presides over Mount Olympus. He has the power to control thunder and lightning, loves his family and wants peace, justice and order. He is Hercules’ father, an easygoing and witty god who likes to keep things simple. He has orange skin and is very muscular with long white hair, blue eyes and a long white beard.
Ziggy (The Jungle Book)
Ziggie is one of the four vultures that observe and inform about all the things that happen in the jungle. He and his friends are based on the famous British quarter The Beatles, with their hairdo and talk.
Zini (Dinosaur)
Zini is Yar’s son and Aladar’s best friend, a witty and intelligent lemur who always wants to attract female lemures and gets very disappointed when he fails it during their mating ritual. He is a loyal and helpful friend who is always there for Aladar.
Zira (The Lion King 2)
Zira is Kovu, Nuka and Vitanis’ mother and the main antagonist in this sequel. She is a lioness with a greyish tan and a cream muzzle, underbelly and paws. She is emotional, cynical and imposing and always lets her emotions take control of her. She cares for her children and Scar, but is not interested in others, being a great fan of war, power and revenge.
Zombie (Wreck-It-Ralph)
Zombie is a part of the Bad-Anon villain support group and being undead, he is not very bright. He speaks in broken English but is able to translate Zangief’s words of encouragement so that Ralph can understand it. He is often seen wearing a pair of hatchets.
Zugor (Tarzan 2)
Zugor is an old hermit ape who lives in a hollow tree on Dark Mountain, a “monster” feared by young Tarzan and almost all the other animals. He loves having his privacy and hates being annoyed which makes him grumpy and not great company.
Professor “Z” Zündapp (Cars 2)
Professor Z is the main antagonist in this sequel, an internationally wanted weapons designer who was promoted to be the leader of the Lemons but it is eventually revealed that he is Miles Axlerod’s second in command.
He is greedy, ruthless, devious and intelligent and can occasionally be heard speaking German.
Zurg (Toy Story 2)
Emperor Zurg is Buzz Lightyear’s sworn enemy who appears in several forms as several individuals. He is the absolute ruler of his dominion and apart from this difference, he bares a strong resemblance to Star Wars Darth Vader.
