Fans of ‘Gargoyles’ have been waiting for news about the live-action series, and there’s good news—it’s still in the works!

According to recent updates brought to us by Jeff Sneider scripts have already been written, and we can expect more news before the end of the year. Disney and producer James Wan are both very eager to make this project happen.

Unlike the Stepsister movie from the previous question, Gargoyles is still in the works and scripts have been written. We should see some updates before the end of the year. Disney and James Wan really want to get this done.

The series is being developed by Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, two studios known for making exciting and thrilling movies. While there’s no release date yet, it’s clear that progress is being made.

The project was announced back in 2023, but the official updates have been scarce. ‘Gargoyles’ is an animated TV show that first aired in 1994 and ran until 1997. It was made by Walt Disney Television Animation and had three seasons. The first two seasons were made with the help of Walt Disney Animation Japan, while the third season, called ‘Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles,’ was made by a different company, Nelvana Limited.

The show is about a group of ancient creatures called gargoyles. During the day, they turn into stone, but at night, they come to life. They were originally from medieval Scotland but were put under a magical spell that kept them frozen in stone for 1,000 years. When the spell is broken, they wake up in modern-day New York City. There, they decide to protect the city and its people from danger, acting as secret heroes.

Unlike many kids’ cartoons at the time, ‘Gargoyles’ had deep stories, serious themes, and complex characters. It tackled ideas like trust, revenge, and redemption, which made it stand out.

Even though the show ended in 1997, it still has a loyal fanbase today.
