Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Passes $800 Million Worldwide Milestone
Even though the newest MCU flick Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness suffered a significant drop after grossing $187 million during the opening weekend, the movie still managed to keep the top spot during its second and third weekend.
According to the latest reports, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reached the milestone of $800 million worldwide. According to Box Office Mojo, the movie has grossed $803,180,485 worldwide so far. And it’s still very possible that the movie will reach a billion-dollar milestone, primarily because the movie had the seventh-best MCU opening, and every movie on the “TOP 10 MCU openings” list grossed more than a billion dollars, at least.
The end of the movie already announced that Doctor Strange will return, but will it be in his third standalone movie or some other MCU project, remains unknown. Still, the post-credit scene introduced Clea, played by Charlize Theron, and Strange accepted her call to a new Multiversal adventure, which seems like setting up another sequel. Benedict Cumberbatch revealed he loves to play the character and he would love to do it for many more years to come.
