Epic Games Crushes Cheater: RepulseGod Banned, Sued, and Forced to Apologize!

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, is taking cheating very seriously. They have been cracking down on players who try to gain an unfair advantage in competitions. Recently, they won a lawsuit against a player from Oceania named Morgan “RepulseGod” Bamford. The case ended in a way that sent a strong message to anyone thinking about cheating in Fortnite.

RepulseGod qualified for the 2023 Fortnite FNCS Global Championship by winning the FNCS Major 3 tournament alongside another player named Jace. This win earned them a spot at the Global Championship in Copenhagen, where players competed for a share of nearly $4 million in prize money. However, once they arrived, Epic Games discovered that RepulseGod had cheated.

Instead of playing fairly, RepulseGod shared his Fortnite account with another player named Forbes, who then competed with Jace. Account sharing is strictly against Fortnite’s rules, especially in major tournaments. As soon as Epic Games found out about the deception, they disqualified both players and immediately sent them back home.

Epic Games did not stop at just disqualifying RepulseGod. They took legal action against him, proving in court that he had cheated to qualify for the tournament. The punishment was harsh:

  1. Permanent Tournament Ban – RepulseGod is now banned from all Fortnite competitions forever.
  2. Prize Money Donated to Charity – The winnings he obtained unfairly were taken away and given to charity.
  3. Forced Public Apology – He had to upload a video on his YouTube channel apologizing for his actions.
  4. Monetary Payout – Epic Games received a financial settlement from him as part of the lawsuit.

On February 15, 2025, RepulseGod uploaded a video titled “15 February 2025” to his YouTube channel. The video had no sound—just black text on a white background displaying an apology. At first, not many people noticed the video, but after Epic Games’ statement, it quickly gained over 10,000 views.

Many Fortnite players and fans are happy with this outcome. Cheating has been a big problem in Fortnite’s competitive scene for years, and this lawsuit proves that Epic Games is serious about keeping the game fair.
