First Look At Paul Rudd In ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Revealed

If the memes are to be trusted, Paul Rudd is one of those celebrities who definitely do not age. I mean, look at him. Rudd debuted in Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015, playing the titular role in Ant-Man, a heist comedy movie that introduced the world’s smallest hero on the big screen.

Rudd played the role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the original movie, and he reprised the role in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, which introduced Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne as Ant-Man’s partner Wasp, and in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Rudd also voiced the characters in last year’s first season of the animated MCU series What If…?

Now, after the whole Thanos situation in Avengers: Endgame, the Ant-Man is also up for the new adventure. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will return as two titular characters in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is set to be released in July next year. Thanks to DailyMail, now we have a look at Rudd as Lang on the first set photos of the upcoming movie. Considering that director Peyton Reed announced that movie-wrapped production last year, it’s expected that these are coming from reshoots.

Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will also return as Doctor Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, who were the original Ant-Man and the Wasp duo when their daughter Hope was just a kid. Michael Pena is also expected to return as Luis, a fan-favorite character whose biggest talent is explaining something that previously happened (so to say).

Kathryn Newton will play Cassie Lang, replacing Emma Fuhrmann who played the character in Avengers: Endgame. In this upcoming movie, Cassie is supposedly set to become Stature, a superhero who could be one more step towards the assembling of the Young Avengers. Jonathan Majors, who played He Who Remains in the Disney+ series Loki, will return to play the villain Kang the Conqueror.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released on July 28, 2023.
