Jack Reacher is coming to Prime Video. Amazon revealed a first trailer for the TV series Reacher, in which Alan Ritchson will play the role of the famous character from Lee Child’s best-selling novels.

Lee Child wrote a whole series of Jack Reacher novels, but the series will be based on only one – Killing Floor – Child’s debut novel which was first published in 1997. Although Amazon didn’t reveal the official synopsis, we have the synopsis of the original novel which can tell us what the show’s going to be about:
Killing Floor by Lee Child is about a man named Jack Reacher who comes to the little town of Margrave looking for information about the mysterious death of a guitar player named Blind Blake. Instead, he finds one of the largest counterfeiting operations in history.
Lee Child, Killing Floor – Synopsis
This isn’t the first time Jack Reacher is getting a live-action adaptation. The character was played by Tom Cruise in the 2012 movie Jack Reacher, based on the 2005 novel One Shot. The movie was written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, with whom Cruise works now on the Mission: Impossible franchise. The sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, directed by Edward Zwick, was released in 2016. Although the critics praised Cruise’s performance, Lee Child revealed that he wasn’t very happy with Cruise as the casting choice for Jack Reacher.
