Apple has made the stakes of this moment even more deliberate by scheduling the premiere of the spinoff series ‘Star City’ for the exact same day as the Season 5 finale, a calculated move to keep subscribers engaged without a gap between the two shows. ‘Star City’ is an eight-episode Cold War thriller set behind the Iron Curtain, following Soviet cosmonauts, engineers, and KGB officers inside the Soviet space program, with Rhys Ifans leading the cast.
Season 6 has been confirmed as the final outing for ‘For All Mankind,’ with Nedivi and Wolpert releasing a joint statement saying that getting to explore the universe of the show over six seasons has been an amazing privilege and that they are thrilled to finish the story the way they always hoped.
