Fortnite X Naruto Rivals!: Release Date and Time, Preview, Spoilers & More
Fortnite will perhaps never reach the giddy heights of a few years ago, but it still continues to pump out a whole range of fun events, and the recent collaborations with Naruto, Marvel, and so many others have left fans wanting more.
So let’s look at the upcoming Fortnite X Naruto Rivals! the event that is likely going to bring in some new Naruto skins as well as challenges to earn the skins, and perhaps even bringing back some classic Naruto skins back to the store. So let’s have a look at what we know!
Release Date and Time
The best evidence is the advertisement that appeared in a Japanese magazine that shows the four skins, and that has the date of 24 June 2022.
A slightly cryptic tweet put out by the official Fornite Twitter account also mentioned that some kind of event for Fortnite X Naruto Rivals! is happening on 23 June 2022.
This date syncs up with the above date of the 24th as Epic likes to try and do a simultaneous worldwide release.
Preview
As always, Epic is a bit coy with details about the new collaboration, but the previous Naruto event in the form of the Nindo challenges was wildly successful so it’s fair to assume a follow-up is coming.
One of the best ways to gain insights into the next collaboration is through a technique called data mining, which is where talented and skilled computer people look through a game’s files for signs of new items, skins, and a whole bunch of other easter eggs.
Itachi, Orochimaru, Hinata, and Gaara were the four skins slated to be in the next release according to the above leaks, and further information has come to light in the form of virtual advertisements that clearly show the same four skins and the Fortnite logo.
The last time we got skins like this was Chapter 2 Season 8, with Naruto, Sasuke, and other skins arriving into gamers’ hot little hands, with the Nindo event also providing the awesome Kurama glider.
It’s not unheard of for back bling, new harvesting tools, and other related skins to come out with this new collaboration.
Spoilers
The Item Shop may see a return of former Naruto skins from previous events alongside the new ones, and if you don’t feel like shelling out your hard-earned V-bucks, then look for the inevitable challenges that you can complete to access the skins instead.
None of this is confirmed, but it seems to be standard fare for these types of events, but be aware that if an item is in the Item Shop but then released for free later in the form of a challenge, that’s an easy way to get your hands on a limited skin.
