One of the reasons that Fortnite is so compelling to wider audiences is its large skin and character collection that allows you to change the appearance of your character completely. Those skins reference other popular franchises like DC and Marvel comics, for example, other video games, movies, even anime. Out of hundreds of such skins, we decided to rank 15 most popular currently. Let’s see what they are.

Catwoman was released as a part of the DC series and quickly became a fan favorite. The skin was released back in 2019, but it’s consistently among the most used in the game. Kor is one of the Epic outfits that was released in 2021, and it has tons of additional customization options for fans who are not willing to settle for the default look. It can be unlocked through the Battle Pass system for nine battle stars or purchased for 950 V-Bucks. 1.382 % of players use Kor on a regular basis.

13. Scarlet Commander

Scarlet Commander is in an uncommon tier regarding its rarity, and once you’ve purchased the skin, you choose between the default look, dark look, or tiger look. The skin can be purchased from the item shop for 800 V-Bucks or through Trae Young’s Locker Bundle for 1700 V-Bucks. Scarlet Commander is used by 1.385 % of players.

12. Siren

Siren is a fairly popular rare skin released in 2020, and it’s a favorite of players who are looking to spice up their gameplay with some spy-related aesthetic. Siren can be acquired through the item shop for 1200 V-Bucks or through BenjyFishy’s Locker Bundle and Hit Squad Bundle, each costing 2100 V-Bucks and 2400 V-Bucks, respectively. Siren skin is used by 1.826 % of all players.

11. Piper Pace

Piper Pace is the second epic skin on this list, and it was released not that long ago, in August of 2023. Just like with all epic skins, there are tons of additional customization options for Piper, as you can choose between Heisted Jade Look, Lost Amethyst Look, Yellow Diamond Look, and others, each look affecting the color scheme of the character.

Like most Epic skins, Piper Pace can be acquired through the Battle Pass system either by spending Battle Stars or V-Bucks. Currently, 1.839% of players use the skin regularly.

10. Lara Croft

One of the most famous female characters in gaming made its way to Fortnite in 2021 when she was released as a part of the “Gaming Legends’ Series. Acquiring Lara Croft skin will grant you access to choose between additional skin options. Lara Croft’s skin is used by 2.272 % of the total player base and can be acquired through the Battle Pass system.

9. Polarity

Polarity is the first legendary skin on this list, and like all legendary skins, once you buy Polarity, you’re not limited to what you see, as you can choose between different suit patterns, hairstyles, and belts. As with all legendary skin, Polarity comes at a hefty price of 1800 V-Bucks, but this didn’t stop the larger Fortnite community from getting their hands on it as 2.305 % of the players used this skin in recent times.

8. Echo

“Are you real, or just a reflection?” This is the in-game description of Rare Echo skin, and true to its description, you can choose between several looks for this character. Echo can be purchased standalone from the shop for 1200 V-Bucks or through several bundles. Twin Echo Bundle is currently the cheapest going for 1900 V-Bucks, with BlackOutz’s Locker Bundle being the priciest, going for 2200 V-Bucks. Echo is a true player favorite, being played by 2.603% of the player base.

7. Aura

Interestingly enough, even though Aura is not the most popular skin this season, she is definitely the all-time favorite in the community. Aura is uncommon skin, and you can choose between 3 looks once you unlock it. It’s popularity can be explained by the fact that the outfit is relatively cheap, going for 800 V-Bucks in the shop currently. The numbers say the rest, as Aura is played regularly by 2.61 % of the community.

6. Par Patroller

Par Patroller is older than most skins on this list, being released in 2020. it’s part of the Uncommon collection, but it’s cheap, going for 800 V-Bucks currently. Owning to its price, Par Patroller is often on the list of most played, and currently, around 2.749 % of the community plays her regularly.

5. Surf Witch

Surf Witch is on the fifth spot this season, but make no mistake, she is second behind Aura on the “all-time” list. Once you purchase Surf Witch, you can choose between the default and Surf Demon look. Surf Witch can currently be acquired for 1200 V-Bucks and due to its affordable price, around 3.325 % of the community uses the skin on a regular basis.

4. Focus

Focus is a cyberpunk wonder that was released in 2019. She is part of the Rare outfits collection and be acquired through the shop for 1200 V-Bucks. Once unlocked you can choose between the standard look and Future Agent look. 3.496 % of the community uses Focus regularly.

3. Joltara

Coming up in bronze place is Joltara. Joltara is a legendary skin which means two things. There are tons of suit patterns and styles to choose from as well as hairstyles, accessories, and other character customization options, and second, it’s quite pricy going for 1800 V-Bucks in the shop. Despite that, Joltara is used by 3.71 % of the community.

2. Backlash

Backlash is the third legendary skin that made it on this list. The skin was introduced back in 2020, and like all skins, it offers tons of customization. Backlash currently holds the standard price in the shop as all legendary skins go for 1800 V-Bucks, and it’s used by 3.86 % of the player base, meaning these numbers warrant a silver medal.

1. Caper

Caper is the second epic skin on this list, and it’s by far the most popular, currently being used by an amazing 5.449 % of the players, translated into concrete numbers. The skin is regularly used by 694.6 thousand players. As an epic outfit, Caper comes with tons of customization options and comes with a unique model.

It can be acquired through a shop for 1200 V-Bucks or through Escape Artists Bundle for 1800 V-Bucks.
