Captain America: Brave New World is the next exciting chapter in the MCU, set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, as part of Phase 5.
This marks Sam Wilson’s first solo adventure as Captain America and will feature Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, who transforms into the Red Hulk.
The story follows Sam as he faces an international crisis after Ross becomes President of the United States, forcing him to uncover and stop the true masterminds behind the chaos.
Danny Ramirez stars as Joaquin Torres, who becomes the new Falcon and partners equally with Sam Wilson. Shira Haas plays Ruth Bat-Seraph, an Israeli former Black Widow and ally to President Ross, while Xosha Roquemore appears as a Secret Service agent.
Carl Lumbly returns as Isaiah Bradley, a super soldier with a troubled past, and Giancarlo Esposito portrays Seth Voelker, also known as Sidewinder, the smart and tough leader of the Serpent Society. Liv Tyler reprises her role as Betty Ross, the daughter of Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and a biologist.
Tim Blake Nelson takes on the role of Samuel Sterns, also called The Leader, a brilliant scientist turned super-intelligent villain with a look inspired by the comics. The cast also includes Takehiro Hira as Prime Minister Ozaki, with Seth Rollins and Rosa Salazar in mystery roles.
A new standee on social media revealed that several actors, including Scandinavian star Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, have joined the production.
Jóhannesson is best known for his roles as Olaf Haraldsson in Vikings: Valhalla, Lem Lemoncloak in Game of Thrones, and appearances in Atomic Blonde and The Northman. His character in Captain America: Brave New World has not yet been revealed.
The story for Captain America: Brave New World is written by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Rob Edwards, with the screenplay by Julius Onah, Peter Glanz, and Matt Orton.
