‘Hana-Doll*: Reinterpretation of Flowering’ Reveals Main Trailer Ahead of Upcoming Premiere

Short manga series rarely get adapted into anime series, but there are exceptions, and the upcoming Hana-Doll*: Reinterpretation of Flowering is one such example. The series is premiering soon.
The Hana-Doll* franchise by Movic mainly consists of various drama CDs, music, and stage plays, but we also had a short, one-volume manga, titled Hana-Doll*: Flowering: Boys were still in a dream, which was published between 2020 and 2021.
Now, an anime series is coming and it is set to premiere very soon – on April 9, 2025 – and the producers have released the main trailer for the upcoming series.
Before we reveal more information, here is the trailer:
The animation looks good, and while the series might not be a popular mainstream title, it seems interesting to warrant our attention, so we’ll definitely be checking it out.
The series itself is focused on a group of men dedicated to the so-called “Flower Doll Projects,” whose goal is to create “perfect dolls” through a method that involves implanting special flowers into their bodies.
The anime will star Daiki Hamano as Ryōga Kagekawa, and Kent Itō as Lihito Tōdō, Seiichirō Yamashita as Mahiro Yūki, Shunichi Toki as Kaoru Kisaragi, Toshiki Masuda as Haruta Kiyose, and Wataru Komada as Chitose Shōrai/Chise.
Masahiro Takata will be directing the anime at A-Real, while Risa Arai will serve as the character designer. GyroKnuckle will be overseeing the series scripts. Takanori Yamaura will be the animation producer, while UWAN Pictures’ Saya Fukase will be in charge of producing the 3D CG.
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and TV Aichi on April 9.
