‘Harley Quinn’ Season 5 Gets a Release Window

Debuting on November 29, 2019, ‘Harley Quinn’ received praise for its animation, mature humor, and character depiction. Initially airing on DC Universe, it transitioned to HBO Max for its third season and then to Max for its fourth. A special episode aired in February 2023, and in November of that year, the show was renewed for a fifth season.
The intense finale of Season 4 left fans eager for more, with the storyline becoming even more intense despite its humor. Fortunately, we now have an estimated release window for Season 5.
According to ‘The Direct,’ Season 5 of ‘Harley Quinn’ is confirmed for a 2024 release.
Previous seasons had different release patterns: Season 1 debuted in late November 2019, Season 2 came to Max in April 2020, and Seasons 3 and 4 were released in July of 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Season 5 doesn’t appear to be affected by the 2023 strikes, as Season 4 aired during both periods.
The release date for Season 5 hinges on the start of its promotional tour. Since the tour hasn’t kicked off yet, the earliest fans can expect it on Max is this fall. However, it’s more likely to be pushed back to fall 2024 or late 2024, with new episodes following the trailer’s release.
In the season 4 finale, Harley faces a moral dilemma when she hesitates to kill the Joker for paralyzing Batgirl. At Luthor’s birthday party on the Moon, they discover he’s captured Superman and gained his powers.
Unable to defeat him and disappointed with their business partners, Ivy and Harley destroy their enterprises with Batgirl’s assistance. They rescue Superman and prevent the Moon’s destruction, leading to Bruce’s release from prison and his return as Batman. Harley, Ivy, Barbara, and Catwoman form the Gotham City Sirens, unaware of Nightwing’s resurrection by Talia.
