Gal Gadot is currently one of the most sought actresses in Hollywood. Ever since she played Gisele in the Fast & Furious franchise, and the role of Wonder Woman in DC Extended Universe, which launched her into the stars, she started doing several blockbuster projects every year. She recently starred in Death on the Nile, Kenneth Branagh’s sequel to Murder on the Orient Express (2017). Gadot starred as Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle, a wealthy heiress who’s been murdered and robbed of her necklace, which was another mystery to solve for Hercule Poirot, who was played by Branagh.
Last year, Gal Gadot starred in Netflix’s blockbuster Red Notice, in which she starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. She played Sarah Black, also known as the Bishop, the world’s most-wanted art thief. The movie was Netflix’s most expensive film to date, with a reported budget of $200 million ($20 was Gadot’s salary only). Despite the mixed reviews from the critics, the movie became Netflix’s most-watched original movie ever, which resulted in Netflix ordering two sequels which will be shot back-to-back, as soon as the movie’s busy stars manage to clear up their schedules.
Netflix hoped to start a new franchise with Red Notice, and so far it seems they succeeded, so now they’ll try it again. After Red Notice, Gadot signed to star in Heart of Stone, a new Bond-like spy thriller for which Netflix is hoping it could be another potential franchise starter. Gadot reportedly signed a multi-movie contract if the movie turns out to be successful for the streamer.
In her newest Instagram post, Gadot shared the first look at her character and revealed that she will be called Rachel Stone. She posted a video and two images from the movie’s set, which shows that the movie is now officially in production, but there’s still a serious lack of additional information about this upcoming movie. Okay, one thing is for sure, Gadot’s character will have bangs and she will be incredibly badass.
Heart of Stone is currently in production, the release date is still TBA.
