Everything from Sims’ lifestyles, jobs, environment, and appearance can be tampered with by replicating real people. In this article, we will present you with our guide on how to edit Sims body in Sims 4 and provide you with a few cool tools for you to be able to do it more easily.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • To edit the Sims body in Sims 4, one needs to go to the “Manage Worlds” option, where you can click on the “pencil sign” to edit the whole household.
  • Another way is to open the cheat console by clicking Ctrl+Shift+C simultaneously. Write without quotes “testingcheats true,” and then, in the New Game window, write in “cas.fulleditmode,” which allows you to make full edits.
  • After that, hover the mouse button over the Sim you want to edit – while holding the Shift button, left-click on the Sim. The option “edit in CAS” will be available, click on that, and you can start editing your Sims body.

How to edit Sims’ body in Sims 4?

Editing is an essential part of the Sims games. Since the first installment and its release in 1999, The Sims franchise has upgraded and added more innovative features that immersed the fans even more. The editing option was not just the fast adding and editing of a generic face and features on the Sim – it had become a real feature in which a player could replicate real people.

The create-a-Sim option will allow you to fully edit your Sims.

The realistic part of the Sims increased tenfold, and since the Sims 3 game, and even before, players could now create Sims in all body types and shapes, which the community has welcomed with open hands. Now, newer players get lost in the load of options the Sims 4 has and are probably looking for the best way to edit the Sims.

Click on the Sim by holding the Shift button – you will access these options.

The Sims always had cheats available in the game for usual things – more money, happiness, Sim stats, and more. However, one was not frowned upon like the others – the full editing mode called CAS. You see, once you create a Sim, you cannot edit your Sims body anymore. The game “locks up” the feature, and you can only edit the outfits and accessories in-game by accessing your Sim’s wardrobe or a mirror.

CAS or Create-a-Sim gives more options to the players, where they can fully edit the Sim. For example, during a conversation with another Sim, you want to change clothes on the spot. You press the Ctrl+Shift+C buttons simultaneously, which will open up a cheat console where you will type in “testingcheats true” and click “Enter.”

This way, you will unlock the regular editing feature, which you can use by holding the Shift button while pressing your designated Sim and clicking on the “Modify in CAS” option. This way, you can change your Sims’ clothes, make-up, and other accessories.

After accessing CAS, you will be able to fully edit your Sims.

However, in this option, you will not be able to edit the Sim’s body, which is the main topic of this article. You will need to again open up the cheats console by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+C buttons, and this time write in “cas.fulleditmode” (without quotes, of course). After you click “Enter,” you will need to hover with your mouse pointer over your SIM of choice, press the Shift button, and click on the SIM while holding in. The option “Modify in CAS” will be available once again.

After you click on it, you can finally edit your Sims body fully. Besides the body shape and type, you can customize the face, accessories, clothes, and even Sims’ traits. This is great news since your Sim usually meets up with some shady counterparts that do not fit with your Sim at all.

After we explain how to edit Sims’ body, we can show you a few more tips.

How do you access the editing tools in Sims 4?

Besides CAS, you can access a few other Sims editing tools. Let’s start with the Managing Households option. Whenever you are trying to load up in the game, click on the “Man View,” then click on the Manage Households menu icon at the top of your screen. You can transfer Sims from one household to another and edit Sims families in Sims City.

Managing Households is a great option to have if you want to do more than just edit your Sims appearance.

To edit your Sims, click on the “Pencil” button, which will lead you to edit Sims – there, you will be able to edit your Sims however you want. The managing households option is the one that is added to the game by default. The Create-a-Sim, or simply CAS, is what you will be looking for. Press Ctrl+Shift+C, and write “testingcheats true” without the quotes. After you click “Enter,” again open the cheat console by pressing the buttons on your keyboard, and this time, write in “cas.fulleditmode”.

In the game, you can access the full edit CAS mode by clicking on the Sim you want to edit while holding the Shift button and pressing the “Modify in CAS” option. You will be able to edit any feature to your Sims you want.

There are other options “outside” the game, including the CC mods and mods, but we will leave that for the next article. Until then, open up the console and use the CAS option, customize your Sims, and show off your creative side of editing because that is truly the most interesting part of the Sims game.
