“Imagine a male reporter doing this”: Hugh Jackman Showcased What a Perfect Gentleman He Is after Interviewer Crosses Major Boundaries

Hugh Jackman is one of the most famous actors alive. He is renowned for several major roles throughout his career. His most iconic role is Wolverine in the ‘X-Men’ series, which established him as a prominent actor. He also earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in ‘Les Misérables’ and showcased his musical talents as P.T. Barnum in ‘The Greatest Showman.’

But, the reason why his media attention was renewed in the last couple of months is the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ the latest installment in the MCU.

Jackman is being praised for his impressive physical shape, as he was able to portray accurate Wolverine at 55 years old. The actor was always one of the most handsome actors alive, despite facing some criticism for his unhealthy workout and diet regimes, and women have been known to have a weak spot for him despite the actor being (at the time) happily married as far as we know.

But, why are we focusing on Jackman’s love life and his physical shape? Well, you see recently an old interview with Laura Gauthier resurfaced. The interview was done more than 15 years ago while Jackman was doing promotion for ‘X-Men Origin: Wolverine.’

The interview started regularly enough until Gauthier asked to touch the actor’s muscles. Over the course of the interview, Gauthier sat on his lap, teased him, asked him to move the interview to the hotel room, and even at one point kissed him.

It was a highly inappropriate and unprofessional event, and depending on whether Hugh knew about it in advance, it borders on harassment.

No matter whether Hugh was aware or not, the fans pointed out that he carried himself as a true gentleman and carried on with an interview as a true sport. Fans couldn’t help but notice how Jackman kept the spirits high in the video, despite finding himself in a surprising situation under which some other actors would probably have some wildly different reactions:

oh wow, if this whole thing was unplanned, I just have to say that interviewer has major MAJOR guts. I suppose she’s lucky that it’s Hugh Jackman because he’s such a cheerful and tolerant actor but going as far as to getting a full on kiss…I would never ever be able to do that. Props to her!
