‘Invincible’ is one of the most popular and acclaimed animated shows of 2023, based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. The show features an impressive voice cast, including Steven Yeun as the titular hero, Mark Grayson, J.K. Simmons as his father, Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man, and Sandra Oh as his mother, Debbie Grayson. But, there is one legend seemingly missing from the cast list, and this is the legendary Keith David. Could Keith David be voicing a character in the upcoming episodes? Let’s see.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • Keith David currently does not provide his voice for any characters in ‘Invisible,’ but this might change in the upcoming seasons.
  • Fans, however, love to cast him in different roles ranging from Battle Beast to Space Racer.

Keith David is one of the most notable actors in the industry

Keith David is a highly versatile and accomplished American actor with a prolific career spanning film, stage, television, and interactive media. Born on June 4, 1956, he is renowned for his distinctive deep voice and commanding screen presence. Throughout his career, he has amassed over 300 roles, showcasing his talent across various mediums.

Some of Keith David’s notable film credits include ‘The Thing’ (1982), ‘Platoon’ (1986), ‘They Live’ (1988), ‘Dead Presidents” (1995), ‘Armageddon’ (1998), ‘There’s Something About Mary’ (1998), ‘Requiem for a Dream’ (2000), ‘Pitch Black’ (2000), ‘Barbershop’ (2002), ‘Crash”‘(2004), ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ (2004), ‘Cloud Atlas’ (2012), ‘The Nice Guys’ (2016), and ‘Nope’ (2022).

In addition to his work in film, Keith David has made a significant impact on television. He portrayed Elroy Patashnik in the sixth season of the NBC series ‘Community’ (2015) and played the role of Bishop James Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama ‘Greenleaf’ (2016–2020).

Beyond his on-screen performances, Keith David has also achieved success in the world of voice acting. His Emmy-winning voice-over career includes narration for Ken Burns films such as ‘The War’ (2007) and ‘Muhammad Ali’ (2021). He has lent his distinctive voice to animated characters, such as Dr. Facilier in ‘The Princess and the Frog’ (2009) and The Cat in ‘Coraline’ (2009). On television, he is known for his portrayal of Goliath in the animated series ‘Gargoyles” (1994–1997).

He is also among the most prolific voice actors, but sadly, he is not currently giving his voice in ‘Invincible’

Keith David was involved in plenty of animated projects over the years, in recent times, the most notable being ‘Hazbin Hotel’ (as Husk), ‘Krapopolis’ (as Asskil), ‘Rick and Morty,’ ‘American Dad,’ ‘Pluto’ and ‘Transformers: Earthspark.’ Interestingly, if Keith David was to be cast in ‘Invincible’ this wouldn’t be his first time to voice Image Comics characters as he already gave voice to Al Simmons / Spawn on ‘Todd McFarlane’s Spawn’ which ran for two years between 1997 and 1999.

Fans were, however, quick to cast Keith in a variety of roles; some were filled with other characters, such as Battle Beast, and some characters remain to be cast and included in the show, like Space Racer. In any case, if something changes, we will update this article.
