Is Franklin Richards Set to Appear in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’? Set Leaks Indicate as Much

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated MCU projects. Footage released at this year’s SDCC has only heightened fan excitement for what promises to be an epic cosmic adventure in the MCU.

Principal photography for Fantastic Four: First Steps kicked off on July 30, 2024, at Pinewood Studios in London, under the working title Blue Moon. Filming is expected to last five months and is being shot for IMAX. The production start date faced several delays, initially slated for 2023, then January 2024, and finally August 2024.

Now that filming is underway, set leaks have started to emerge, with the latest revealing what seems to be Sue Storm holding a baby.

Based on previous rumors, the baby in question is likely Franklin Richards, the son of Sue Storm and Reed Richards. Industry insiders have suggested that Franklin will be born in space and have a unique connection to Galactus. The specifics of this connection remain unclear, but we can expect more details as the movie’s development progresses.

There are also rumors that Valeria Richards will appear in the film. For those unfamiliar with Franklin, it’s important to note that he was once one of Marvel’s most powerful characters. As a mutant with vast reality-warping abilities, Franklin can manipulate matter and energy on a cosmic scale, create entire universes, alter reality, and control time and space. Despite his young age, his power surpasses that of many of Marvel’s most formidable characters.
