Is Ganju Shiba Alive in Bleach? What Happened to Him?

Despite being secondary characters, many Bleach characters have impacted the series, and Ganju Shiba is definitely one of them. The boar-riding brother of Kukaku Shiba remains a truly original and intriguing character, and although Kubo has not used him for most of the plot, he came back in the final saga, and in light of these facts, we have decided to tell you what actually happened to Ganju Shiba in the series and whether he is alive in Bleach or not.

Ganju Shiba is the brother of Kukaku Shiba and the late Kaien Shiba. He has a personality that is similar to Ichigo’s, but he actually leads a group of “thugs” (they’re not really criminals; they’re just hilarious) that ride on boars. He helped Ichigo and his friends save Rukia and later reconciled with her once they found out why she had to kill Kaien. He later returned to fight Quincy and helped Ichigo and his friends again in Wahrwelt. He survived the battle and is currently alive and well in the series.

The remainder of this article will give you a detailed overview of Ganju Shiba’s fate in the Bleach series, especially in light of what happened to him during the Quincy Blood War and how he did in Wahrwelt after Yhwach killed the Soul King. You already know what happened and how it happened, so we will just bring you the details so you know the whole context. Be careful, though, as the article will contain many spoilers, so if you don’t know all the details, be careful how you approach the text.

Ganju Shiba fought bravely in Wahrwelt, and he managed to survive in the end

Ganju Shiba is a very interesting character, as he is quite hilarious. He was introduced initially in the first arc as Kukaku’s brother, and he had a very interesting relationship with Ichigo. He also came into the spotlight because of his boars, especially Bonnie-chan; so many fans actually remember him because of his boars and his relationship with the perpetually grumpy Bonnie-chan. Now, we will tell you his whole story so that you know what happened to him in Bleach.

Ichigo Kurosaki, Chad, Uryuu Ishida, Orihime Inoue, and Yoruichi meet Ganju and his gang for the first time. Since Ganju can’t stand Shinigami, a fight breaks out between the two. However, Ganju has to go home at nine o’clock. Later, Ichigo and his friend meet Ganju at his sister Kūkaku Shiba’s house. Although there is another small scuffle, Ganju’s sister can settle the argument and convince Ganju to help Ichigo & Co. Ganju is shot into the Seireitei with Ichigo and the others.

However, the group is separated, and Ganju ends up somewhere in Soul Society with Ichigo. There they meet Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa. While Ichigo fights with Ikkaku, Ganju fights against Yumichika and also manages to win. He accompanies Ichigo in his attempt to free Rukia. When more Shinigami attack them, the two try to take a hostage so that they can continue their journey undisturbed. They chose Hanatarō Yamada, who was not particularly popular and considered a replacement.

Later, Ichigo is involved in a fight with Kenpachi, whereupon Ganju and Hanatarō, with whom they have become friends, go ahead. He is shocked when he realizes that Rukia is the Shinigami who killed his brother, Kaien Shiba. At first, he even wants to refuse to help her, but he still wants to help Ichigo and still tries to save her. But as soon as he and Rukia make it out of the cell, they are caught by Byakuya.

Ganju tries to fight him but has no chance and is captured. He wakes up sometime later in a cell with Uryu and Chad. A while later, they are finally freed by Kenpachi, Yumichika, and Ikkaku, who also decide to help Ichigo. After Rukia’s execution was prevented, Ganju went back to his sister. Ganju later appears in the Real World and is found by Hanatarō Yamada. Ganju then takes the same job in the supermarket as Hanataro, forgetting his actual mission.

Later, he helps Ichigo and his friends against Hō and Ban, and he can settle them. When he returns home, he must confess to his sister that he has completely forgotten his mission. He later helps Ichigo and his friends track down the Bounts in the Rukongai.

After the Wandenreich attacked Soul Society, Ichigo was taken to the Soul King’s Realm with the Kūkaku Royal Guard. After suffering this, she said that Ganju and the rest should continue training since they would take part in the next fight, whereupon Ganju, Ginjo, Shūkurō Tsukishima, and Giriko Kutsuzawa made their way to the training hall.

He later appears just before Ichigo and his friends are about to leave for the Soul King’s Palace and join them, thus reuniting the gang from the first saga. He helped them in a way in Wahrwelt, although his contribution wasn’t all that great; he also helped execute the plan that involved the Fullbringers, which was a significant contribution.
