Is Kaleidoscope Star Tati Gabrielle Gay, Bisex, or Straight in Real Life?
Netflix’s new original show, Kaleidoscope, will have an insanely talented cast. One of the main stars of the show, along with Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring from Breaking Bad), will be Tati Gabrielle, a beautiful young actress known for her roles in You, The 100, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Many fans wonder, though, is Tati gay, straight, or bisexual in real life?
It’s unknown for sure if Tati Gabrielle is straight or bisexual, as she never denied nor confirmed any rumors about dating anybody. That being said, she did Tweet about a boyfriend in 2012, but she was still a 16-year-old kid at the time.
There are rumors and allegations about Tati possibly being lesbian or bisexual, at least, but again, there’s no objective evidence to support those allegations, nor has Gabrielle ever confirmed a relationship, be it with a man or a woman. Who is Tati Gabrielle: a brief biography
Tati Gabrielle is a young, incredibly talented American actor, born in San Francisco on January 25, 1996, to an African-American father and a Korean mother. Her full name is Tatiana Gabrielle Hobson.
Ever since she was a child, Tati has shown interest in acting and modeling. Her first gig was when she was only three years old, and she had done modeling and commercials for big brands such as Macy’s when she was just five.
Tati finished the Oakland Schools for the Arts and their theater program (she went to high school with Zendaya) before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to attend Spelman College (not Spellman, Sabrina would never let her off the hook). She majored in Drama and French but dropped out after two years to move back to California and pursue her acting career in 2015.
It proved to be the right choice, as Gabrielle landed huge roles almost from the get-go. Her big breakthrough was in CW’s blockbuster series The 100, but she achieved many outstanding parts over the next few years, including Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (my personal favorite), YOU, Uncharted, The Owl House, and more.
Even if you didn’t find some of the projects to be spectacular, Tati Gabrielle always shined in the roles, and fans loved her characters. Her amazing accomplishments at such a young age landed Tati on the Forbes Hollywood 30 under 30 list in 2021.
Tati has several projects currently in the works, but the biggest might be in Netflix’s new original anthology series, Kaleidoscope, premiering on the platform on January 1, 2023.
Who does Tati Gabrielle portray in Kaleidoscope?
Tati Gabrielle portrays one of the main characters in Kaleidoscope, named Hannah Kim. She is the daughter of the mastermind behind the biggest heist in human history, Leo Pap, aka Ray Vernon, portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito.
Their relationship is tumultuous, full of ups and downs, and they are both in on the grand scheme worth $7 billion. Now, I won’t spoil anything about the show itself, seeing that the innovative non-linear approach to storytelling will allow every viewer to experience the show in their own way (you can watch the episodes in any order you want, except for the finale).
However, I will say that it seems we will watch some of the best on-screen chemistry with another actor in Tati’s career, at least according to her own words shared in a recent interview with CBR:
“This experience for me with Giancarlo was like nothing that I’ve ever been able to do — and don’t know that I will be able to have the experience with another actor like I did here. This just had this innate connection, that innate closeness that every time I think about it, it literally makes me want to cry.”
Don’t get too excited, people! Giancarlo plays her dad – it wasn’t THAT kind of chemistry. Albeit, we have seen Gabrielle have insane chemistry with her fellow actors before – especially with Chance Perdomo in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He portrayed Ambrose Spellman, while Tati played Prudence Blackwood – my two favorite characters of the show.
Their chemistry was so spectacular that fans immediately started speculating about their potential real-life relationship. Was it true, though? Here’s what we know.
Is Tati Gabrielle gay, straight, or bisexual in real life?
Seeing how young, popular, and absolutely breathtaking Tati Gabrielle is, fans have naturally started to wonder if she is in a relationship with someone. And, if so, is she gay, bisexual, or straight?
Well, as I’ve stated before, Tati Gabrielle is believed to be single at the moment. She might be dating someone privately, but no rumors were ever denied, confirmed, or even addressed by the actress herself. Tati wants to keep her private life – private – for as long as possible, and I wholeheartedly support that.
The only rumor she had ever addressed was the one about dating Gavin Leatherwood, aka Nick Scratch from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Both Gavin and Tati confirmed they were just friends and there was nothing romantic going on between them.
Seeing that it was the only rumor Tati ever addressed only sparked even more rumors about the two, but when you’re a beautiful Hollywood star, people will talk regardless of what you say, I guess.
As for the rumors of a relationship between Tati and Chance Perdomo, they never confirmed nor denied it directly, but honestly, it just seems they are very close friends. Chance even said that she ‘knows him better than anybody’ on Instagram, along with a selfie of the two of them.
The only thing we know for certain about Tati Gabrielle’s dating history is that she kind of Tweeted about a boyfriend way, way back in 2012, but she was still just a high school kid, so there really isn’t any significance to the relationship. It does show, however, that Tati is certainly not gay.
She might be bisexual, though, but we don’t know that for sure. Again, as with everything else regarding Tati’s love life, rumors and speculations sparked after an Instagram post she made with Miquela, a female ‘robot’ and Instagram sensation.
The caption said: “Thank you @lilmiquela for a beautiful day full of magic, robots, black female celebration & good conversation. Couldn’t have been a better combination.”
Obviously, that doesn’t mean anything and doesn’t say anything about Tati Gabrielle’s love life, but people immediately started to label the post as proof of a relationship, saying that Tati has to be bisexual or even lesbian.
That being said, Tati was always vocal about the rights not only of the African-American community but also the LGBTQ+ community, so people might’ve gotten the impression she was doing it for herself.
In reality, all we know is that Tati is single, or at least keeping her relationships private and focusing on a career that’s booming as we speak. Everything else is purely speculative. Sorry if you guys wanted a different answer!
