Is the DCU Ready for Flash? Grant Gustin Reveals He’s Been Talking To James Gunn

CW’s Arrowverse spawned many shows, but ‘The Flash’ stood out as one of the best. Grant Gustin played the Scarlet Speedster for nearly 10 years, earning praise for his portrayal. Given Flash’s popularity in DC comics, fans are curious if he’ll join the revamped DC Universe by Gunn and Safran.
The DCEU had its own Flash, played by Ezra Miller, who faced controversy. His Flash starred in a movie based on the ‘Flashpoint’ storyline, where he supposedly alters the timeline. The film received mixed reviews and contributed to the DCEU’s string of disappointments.
Gunn hasn’t said if Flash will join the DCU, but he and Gustin are interested in working together. Gustin said he’d be up for playing Flash again, as mentioned at a convention. Gunn showed interest on Threads. However, Gustin told The Wrap that it’s not his call, and no official talks have happened. He did chat with James Gunn, but they only talked about ‘Superman’ and never met in person.
Like, we’ve never talked about Flash. We’ve talked, just like, I’m a huge Superman fan. I’ve always been a Superman fan, since I was a kid. So I’m just really excited about the movie. And I’m excited about David’s casting.
It’s doubtful that Gunn will add Flash to his lineup soon, especially since fans are still processing the latest live-action version. But who knows? Got something to share? Drop it in the comments below!
