Marvel’s marketing machine has already turned Doctor Doom into popcorn buckets, statues, and collectible figures, and now the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ hype is heading straight to the drive-thru. Fast food and blockbuster movies have long gone hand in hand, and this December’s biggest superhero event is no exception.

Jack in the Box first teased its involvement with a mysterious social media video. The clip showed the chain’s famous mascot, Jack, wearing a green Doctor Doom-inspired cape and hood while sitting on a throne, leaving fans to guess what was coming.

Now the full collaboration has been revealed. Announced on October 27, the new Doomsday Dipping Box arrives at participating Jack in the Box restaurants nationwide on November 5, and will also be available through the Jack app and JackintheBox.com for a limited time while supplies last.

Served in custom film-themed packaging, the meal features crispy Popcorn Chicken, 2 Mozzarella Sticks, 2 of Jack’s tacos, seasoned curly fries, and a drink. It’s a hefty spread clearly designed for snacking your way through the build-up to Doom’s arrival. The real stars of the box might be the dipping sauces. Fans can mix and match 3 Marvel-inspired options with their favorite bites.

The lineup includes the all-new Assemble Sauce, a mystery sauce teased for Doomsday meal prepping, alongside Mutant Marinara, a returning limited-time marinara. Rounding things out is Fantastic Buttermilk Ranch, Jack’s classic buttermilk ranch with a Fantastic Four-inspired name.

Collectors will want to pay close attention to what comes inside. Each Doomsday Dipping Box includes 1 random blind-bagged magnet from a set of 8 special-edition designs inspired by the film.

The magnets connect like puzzle pieces, allowing fans to assemble the full set together. Promotional images show hexagonal pieces carrying the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four logos, along with Jack himself seated on a throne in his Doom-inspired look.

The chain is leaning into its playful personality for the team-up. Chief Marketing Officer Katelyn Zborowski explained the strategy in the company’s announcement, saying, “We don’t just tap into fandoms; we collide them.”

Zborowski added that the magnets give fans another reason to keep coming back for more. With 8 designs to collect, plenty of Marvel fans may find themselves making repeat visits before the movie opens. Jack is also bringing back 2 fan favorites, both inside the box and on their own. Popcorn Chicken returns in Small and Big Boxes, as well as in a combo meal.

Mozzarella Sticks are back too, available in 4-piece or 6-piece orders, each served with Mutant Marinara. That gives fans who don’t want the full box a lighter way to join the Doomsday festivities.

This isn’t Jack in the Box’s first pop culture mashup, either. The chain recently released a Munchie Meal of Horror inspired by the ‘Treehouse of Horror’ episodes of ‘The Simpsons’. It also isn’t the only restaurant tie-in for the film. Dunkin’ has launched its own ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ menu, featuring collectible Glove Cup sleeves and a Doctor Doom Munchkins tin.

With the film opening in theaters on December 18, the November 5 launch gives Jack in the Box about 6 weeks to win over hungry Marvel fans. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ brings the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men together to face Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
