Jade Cargill Stepping Out at WWE in an X-Men Storm Costume and Theme Confirms Why She Is One of the Fan Favorites to Play Ororo in the MCU
The X-Men are officially coming to the MCU, that much is certain, and we honestly can’t wait to see what Marvel Studios has in store. Ever since the project was first teased and rumors began swirling, fans have been busy creating their dream cast lists, ranging from inspired choices to total misfires.
But one standout contender for the role of Ororo Munroe, a.k.a. Storm, has stepped into the spotlight herself, making it clear not only how much she wants the role, but also just how perfect she could be for it.
Jade Cargill, an athlete, mental health and online fitness coach, recently showed up on stage dressed as Storm with the theme playing in the background, and it’s pure perfection. We actually agree with the first comment that Kevin Feige should call her right now.

To make matters even more poetic and awesome, Cargill defeated Asuka in the co-main event. With the win, Cargill is the 2025 WWE Queen of the Ring. Per the stipulations going into the tournament, Cargill is now in line for a guaranteed title shot at the upcoming two-night WWE SummerSlam 2025 premium live event on August 2 and August 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
This is also not the first time that Cargill showed how much she wanted to be Storm. 5 years ago, the athlete shared a series of photos cosplaying as the most popular X-Men.
We really hope Feige has her number.
Back in 2019, Kevin Feige confirmed that mutants, including the X-Men, would eventually be introduced into the MCU. He noted that the terms “mutants” and “X-Men” are interchangeable and emphasized that their MCU portrayal would differ from 20th Century Fox’s version.
By September 2023, Marvel Studios began meeting with writers for an upcoming X-Men film. In May 2024, Michael Lesslie entered negotiations to write the script and was officially confirmed as the screenwriter a year later. Shortly afterward, Jake Schreier was announced as the director, following positive feedback on his work with Thunderbolts*.
