Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is an anticipated sequel to 2018’s DCEU movie Aquaman, which grossed $1.148 billion, which makes it the highest-grossing DC movie. The movie was originally set to be released this December, before it was moved to March 17, 2023. Jason Momoa is set to return as Arthur Curry/The Aquaman, and the main star recently shared an image on Instagram, teasing that we could see one more familiar face in the sequel.

Momoa recently shared an image on Instagram with Ben Affleck, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman in four DCEU movies; Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League, and director’s cut Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It was previously announced that Affleck will reprise the role for the final time in The Flash movie, which will reshape the Multiverse and apparently close the door to Affleck’s Batman.

But now, Momoa is teasing that we could see Batffleck again before his final appearance in the DCEU. Check the post down below:

“REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j” — Jason Momoa

Ben Affleck debuted as DCEU Batman in Batman V Superman. He was set to reprise the role in his own Batman solo movie, but that movie was ultimately canceled and Matt Reeves made his own Batman movie outside of DCEU starring Robert Pattinson. WB announced that Affleck will return in the upcoming movie The Flash, and Michael Keaton will also return as his own Batman in that movie.

The Flash movie is set to be the final chapter for Affleck’s Batman, and Keaton is already set to reprise the role once again in the upcoming Batgirl movie, which is set to be released on HBOMax next year.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to be released on March 17, 2023.
