Last week’s episode of Agatha All Along unveiled the identity of Joe Locke’s character, “The Teen.” It turns out he is Billy Kaplan, the reincarnated Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan from the comics—the son of Scarlet Witch.

Fans have been curious about his connection to the character ever since it was revealed that his character is gay in the MCU, especially since there are only a handful of gay characters with such a strong link to Wanda.

Then, the clues just kept accumulating, from his sigil to his mysterious childhood and the Marvel merch leak that disclosed both his and Rio Vidal’s true identities weeks ahead of time.

Now that the secret is out, Locke spoke with Entertainment Weekly and shared one surprising detail: he has yet to meet his on-screen mother, Elizabeth Olsen, who famously portrays Wanda Maximoff in the MCU.

Fans find this hard to believe, especially since Locke has a reputation for being misleading regarding his role and its surrounding details. Before the show’s premiere, the actor heavily hinted that he was playing Wiccan, only to later deny it.

Fans are convinced that Locke is not being truthful about this because acknowledging that he met Elizabeth Olsen would imply he encountered her on set while she was filming her scenes for Agatha All Along, no matter how brief those interactions might have been.

Speculation about the Scarlet Witch’s appearance in the show has been rampant even before its release. However, showrunner Jac Schaeffer seemed to dismiss this idea, stating that it’s Agatha’s show and no one should overshadow her.

Regardless, even if Locke is indeed misleading fans, it may be for a valid reason, as admitting to meeting her could potentially spoil a significant cameo.
