Jujutsu Kaisen: Does Yuki Like Choso? The ChosoYuki Ship Explained!
There are numerous different ships in Jujutsu Kaisen, some of which are more probable, while others are obvious fan ships that don’t make much sense in the context of the story. The relationship between Yuki and Choso is very specific and is one of these special fan theories that we have to talk about. The two of them turned out to be unlikely allies that had a lot in common, as they got the chance to get to know each other better. This, of course, prompted some fans to come up with the ChosoYuki ship, and in this article, we are going to tell you whether it is a thing in Jujutsu Kaisen or not.
ChosoYuki is a relatively popular, albeit fringe ship from Jujutsu Kaisen
The ChosoYuki ship is so specific that we did not want to complicate things for you and have decided to consult our good colleagues from the Shipping Wiki, who have explained the gist of it brilliantly. Here is what they say:
The ship is a rarepair, for the two have been introduced to each other quite late, and have few interactions. However the ChosoYuki has its own small circle of fans. The ship’s growing fanbase can be attributed to the skill and effort of artist vah_arina (or arinavah, who popularized the pairing after the release of chapter 145 (“The Back”).
Those who favor the ship find Choso and Yuki’s role in the new substory intriguing, considering both remain with Master Tengen, and will have to interact more, as they have the same common goal. Choso and Yuki are incredibly strong and if it comes to battle, they could easily decimate their enemies. Considering Choso’s overprotective nature, that he never fails to express when it comes to his self-proclaimed brother Yuji, some think that Yuki could play the role of a “cool” biker aunt to Yuji and his friends. Fans believe that Yuki’s straightforwardness and enthusiasm contrast well with Choso’s introverted surliness. Some fans noticed Yuki and Choso’s height difference, and this detail has become a subject of humorous posts.
Fans speculate on what Yuki and Choso will be doing while they have to stay with Tengen, what they will be talking about or whether they will be training to face the enemy that will eventually come after them. Some believe they might be playing board games or even cards (like depicted in this art). It is highly probable that at some point Yuki will ask Choso her usual question – what his “girl type” is, and considering that Yuki is the first and only adult woman he has ever seen, his answer may be interesting. Considering Choso spent over 150 years sealed in a storing warehouse not knowing what the world is like, it is possible that Yuki will have to describe the world outside and share current culture trends with him. Some pessimistic fans believe that Yuki will be the one to kill Choso, others assume that even if this won’t happen, in Yuki’s ideal view of the world with no cursed energy, Choso will die; other fans prefer to stay on the positive side, and enjoy Choso and Yuki’s dynamic as long as it lasts.

And that is the gist of this ship. It is interesting, yes, but as you are going to see in the next section – it would never have worked. Why? Keep reading to find out!
There are several reasons why ChosoYuki doesn’t make sense
The ChosoYuki relationship is undoubtedly an interesting one, and we have consulted the experts to explain why it is so important and so interesting. But, while it certainly is an interesting ship per se, it just cannot work; there is no way it would have worked, regardless of the circumstances, and we are now going to explain why.
The first and principal reason is that Yuki is supposedly dead. It hasn’t been confirmed completely, as we never saw her body, but based on what happened in her fight against Kenjaku, she is – indeed – dead. This is why there is no chance of the two of them ever being a thing. But even if Yuki ends up being resurrected, this ship wouldn’t make much sense. Why?
Well, Yuki is a human, and Choso is a cursed spirit. And while he does have a human appearance, he is not even alive… he is just a manifestation of cursed energy. Sure, he has a human personality, and Yuki did say that he was her type, but a relationship between a human and a cursed spirit simply doesn’t make sense, and even with all the nonsense that Akutami has inserted in the series, we cannot fathom how this would function. And that is why this ship never stood a chance. But the two of them were allies and friends.
