Suguru Geto is undoubtedly one of the best characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. And while the prequel manga, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, introduced him as a villain who wanted to destroy humanity, he was defeated by Yuta and killed by Gojo, his former friend and classmate. Still, Geto reappeared in the main timeline, but it was later discovered that it was actually Kenjaku inside Geto’s corpse. Be that as it may, he was a very powerful jujutsu sorcerer, and his Cursed Spirit Manipulation is one of the most powerful ones in the series. In this article, we will focus on one of Geto’s spirits, as you will find out everything you need to know about “Rainbow Dragon.”

“Rainbow Dragon” is the name of one of the numerous Curses that Geto has under his control and can summon, at will, using his Cursed Spirit Manipulation. “Rainbow Dragon” is one of Geto’s most powerful curses, and he only summons it in the toughest situations. It is a large Chinese dragon that is a defensive specialist due to its extremely thick skin and powerful attacker. He was ultimately exorcised by Toji Fushiguro when the latter fought Geto.

The rest of this article will be about Suguro Geto and his special technique, focusing specifically on “Rainbow Dragon,” one of Geto’s most powerful curses. We will explain Geto’s power in more detail and then tell you how “Rainbow Dragon” fits in there and what happened to this powerful and interesting character. Of course, as always, we have to warn you that this article will be filled with spoilers from the upcoming episodes, so be careful how you approach it if you don’t want to know all the details.

“Rainbow Dragon” was one of Geto’s most powerful curses

Every fan of Jujutsu Kaisen knows who Suguru Geto is and how powerful he actually is. In that aspect, we can only confirm that he is one of the series’ best characters and that his character arc, especially in relation to Gojo’s own arc, is one of the best in the whole series.

Geto was exceptionally talented, and he could “collect” curses and later use them as weapons or tools. His Innate Technique was, thus, called Cursed Spirit Manipulation and was one of the most powerful Innate Techniques in the whole series, with Geto being exceptionally skilled in using it. Now, to properly understand this article’s topic, we will explain Geto’s Innate Technique here.

Cursed Spirit Manipulation is, as we have said, the name of Suguru Geto’s Innate Technique. As its name suggests, this technique makes it possible to domesticate curses that Suguru Geto captures and ingests. By retrieving and possessing Suguru’s corpse through his power, Kenjaku could also gain Cursed Spirit Manipulation. With this technique, the user can tame curses for use by ingesting them after compressing them into the shape of a small ball or sphere, which they then swallow.

A jujutsu sorcerer with this technique can domesticate a cursed spirit without any particular conditions as long as the latter is two classes below him. The user cannot, however, take possession of a curse that already has a servitude relationship with another person; in this case, he will only be able to control the spirit upon the death of its master.

Cursed Spirit Manipulation works much like summoning Shikigami, or familiar. It is, however, of a higher rank and does not require any vector from the user. The curses of Cursed Spirit Manipulation also release a different energy from their masters, unlike when Shikigami are concerned.

The curse casts its spells and attacks directly, drawing on its own cursed energy. However, it is important to note that the level of cursed techniques of the curses that the user ingests stops evolving when he assimilates them. Also, with this technique, the user cannot share the vision of his curses, but they can still warn him about something if they are far from him. If one of his plagues is exorcised, the manipulator can also feel it.

Finally, the user’s own cursed energy doesn’t limit him as far as the number of curses is concerned, and he can possess more than a thousand curses at one time; however, the fate of the user’s curses, after they die or are exorcised, is unknown at this time, as Akutami hasn’t really specified this.

The great thing about Cursed Spirit Manipulation is that the possibilities are basically endless. The user can command several curses that are Grade 1 and above, and when the opponents understand the nature of these curses and find a way to counterattack, the user only has to send out new ones.

Of course, he also can mobilize a multitude of creatures at once to overwhelm his enemy. The Cursed Spirit Manipulation is, therefore, a suitable technique against multiple opponents since its user can create a veritable army of curses.

So, now that we have provided you with an explanation of Geto’s technique, which was essential in truly understanding the main topic of this article, we can now proceed to tell you about the “Rainbow Dragon,” also known as Ko Ryu, who is one of Geto’s most powerful curses.

The “Rainbow Dragon” is a tall, long dragon from the Far East (a Chinese dragon, to be more precise) that, as its name suggests, appears to be of multiple colors, which is why it has the nickname it has. At some point in its existence, the “Rainbow Dragon” was absorbed by Suguru’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique and became his possession; the circumstances of this have never been explained.

The first time we saw him was when Geto, Gojo, Kuroi, and Riko were flying back to Tokyo, as Geto released the “Rainbow Dragon” to patrol the plane from the outside, fearing that someone might attack the plane while they were in the air.

While facing Toji Fushiguro, after the latter slays Riko Amanai before his eyes, Suguru summons the “Rainbow Dragon” and the “Kuchisake-Onna.” During the fight, Suguru charges the curse at Toji, but the latter manages to dodge it. The curse then comes back to attack again, but Toji, using his cursed object, slices the curse in half, surprising Suguru.

The “Rainbow Dragon” was an unknown grade curse, but based on everything we know from its appearances, it was quite powerful and was one of Geto’s strongest curses at the time. But, aside from the fact that its level is still unknown, it is known that he was a very quick and agile curse, which the “Rainbow Dragon” demonstrated on more than one occasion.

His most notable ability was surely his resistance, as he had the best defense among Geto’s curses. On top of that, we also know that the “Rainbow Dragon” was the strongest curse in attacking terms in Suguru’s possession, but even the “Rainbow Dragon” was no match for Toji, as Toji ended up exorcising him.
