We can all agree that Keanu Reeves is one of the Hollywood legends. The famous actor best known for The Matrix franchise, Speed, John Wick franchise, Constantine, and numerous other projects recently revealed his thoughts on currently the biggest movie franchise ever — Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Cinematic Universe grows more and more every year, and many famous movie stars appeared in it, in both small and huge roles. Even the biggest Hollywood stars like Christian Bale, Glenn Close, Kurt Russell, Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Angelina Jolie had the privilege to join Marvel’s shared universe. Some actors, like Henry Cavill, also expressed interest to join the franchise in the future, and the same thing is happening now with The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves.
“There’s so many wonderful films and filmmakers and artists participating in those films … It would be fun to be a part of.” — Keanu Reeves for ET Online
Reeves said it’s hard to say which character he would love to play, although many fans agree that he’d be great as Ghost Rider. That idea spawned numerous fan arts with Reeves as the popular Marvel anti-hero. Reeves isn’t unfamiliar with playing comic book characters. Back in 2005, Reeves played Constantine, a famous exorcist from the DC Comics.
Reeves is currently promoting his newest film — The Matrix Resurrections. The fourth installment of the famous sci-fi franchise directed by Lana Wachowski, who co-wrote and co-directed the original Matrix trilogy with Lilly Wachowski. Keanu Reeves is reprising the role of Neo, while Carrie Anne-Moss returns as Trinity. Lambert Wilson and Jada Pinkett Smith also reprise their roles from previous films in the series. Aquaman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is replacing Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus. Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christina Ricci also star.
The Matrix Resurrections will open in theaters on December 22, 2021.
