Kenji Iwaisawa’s ‘100M’ Anime Film Releases Teaser Trailer, Reveals Cast, Composer, and Premiere Date

Uoto is best known as the author of the successful Orb: On the Movements of the Earth series, which recently had a very popular run as an anime series. But, Uoto has also written numerous other works.
Among his other works is the 2017 manga 100M, which is going to be adapted as an anime film and released later this year.
Now, a new trailer has been released for the upcoming anime film, and it confirmed that the film would premiere in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025, as well as other information about the movie’s cast and crew.
Before we continue with the other information, here is the teaser for you:
We have already known that Kenji Iwaisawa (ON-GAKU: Our Sound) would be directing the film at Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain, while Pony Canyon, TBS TV, and ASMIK Ace would be producing the film. We can also confirm that Keisuke Kojima will serve as the character designer and chief animation director, while Keikankun Yamaguchi will serve as the art director. Producers will include Yūsuke Terada, Yūki Katayama, and Akane Taketsugu.
As far as the new crew members are concerned, we can confirm that Hiroaki Tsutsumi will be joining the movie as the official composer.
The two main cast members have also been revealed, and we can thus confirm that Tori Matsuzaka will be playing the gifted runner Togashi, while Shōta Sometani will be playing Komiya, a hard worker whose obsession with the 100-meter dash began when he met Togashi.
As said, the anime film will be premiering in Japan in September and until then, we are certainly going to get more updates, so be sure to keep following us for more!
