Kevin Feige Is Reportedly Considering Including Venom in the Upcoming Major MCU Release

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) continues to grow, with the 2018 film “Venom” paving the way for its expansion. A second sequel is set to release in 2024, featuring Tom Hardy reprising his role as the iconic Symbiote. Last summer, anticipated productions, particularly superhero-related ones, were disrupted by the longest SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood’s history, spanning 118 days.
Both the SSU and MCU faced delays, with numerous projects awaiting development. However, following the strike’s resolution, both parties reached favorable agreements. Subsequently, it was revealed that production for “Venom 3” would resume, with a new release date scheduled for November 8, 2024. Yesterday’s announcement unveiled the title of the final installment in the ‘Venom’ franchise as ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ with an earlier release date moved up to October 5, 2024.
According to rumors, ‘Venom 3’ could mark the conclusion of Venom’s standalone series, but it doesn’t mean the end for the character. Daniel Richtman, a reputable source for insider information, suggests that Sony intends to incorporate Venom into other projects. Additionally, Kevin Feige reportedly has intentions to feature Venom in ‘Secret Wars,’ a highly anticipated crossover film, although details about it remain scarce.
This isn’t unexpected considering that within the SSU, Venom stands out as one of the most popular characters with the most successful franchise.
