The Kingsman franchise is one of the most popular spy movie franchises globally that’s getting a third movie very soon. The King’s Man will be a prequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, but rumors suggest that another movie – the sequel to Kingsman: The Golden Circle is planned. So, will there be a Kingsman 4?
Kingsman 4 will almost certainly happen, with Taron Egerton returning in the main role. Rumors around the Internet say that the movie will be called Kingsman: The Blue Blood and that it might not be the last Kingsman movie we get.
In addition to Kingsman: The Blue Blood, a spin-off movie, The Statesman is in the making. Also, MARV Production CEO Zygi Kamasa claims that Matthew Vaughn already has at least four more Kingsman movies planned, but their production depends on the success of the upcoming films in the franchise. Here’s what we know so far about a potential Kingsman 4 movie.
Will There Be a Kingsman 4?
While we haven’t even seen Kingsman 3 in cinemas yet, there’s already a lot of chatter about a potential fourth movie in the series. According to the director Matthew Vaughn, it’s not a matter of “if” but “when.”
Even Taron Egerton (who plays Eggsy) told The Hollywood Reporter after The Golden Circle came out that the initial plan was to make a trilogy with Eggsy as the main protagonist. It would come after the events of The Golden Circle, virtually being its sequel.
However, Vaugn and the producers changed their minds about the third movie in the end. Instead of a sequel, The King’s Man (coming out on December 22) will be a prequel to the first movie, The Secret Service.

While the plot was more or less kept a secret all this time before launching the movie, we know that it’ll revolve around the World War I period. There’s probably a reason why Vaught and the team ultimately decided to go with the prequel first, but we’ll get to that a bit later.
What’s important to say is that it’s all but confirmed that a fourth Kingsman movie is coming not that long after the prequel movie, so fans have every right to rejoice.
It’ll flesh out and end the Eggsy trilogy. There are even rumors about what the plot might be about and the title of the movie.
Kingsman 4 Title
Before continuing, I want to highlight that there are still no official confirmations or announcements about the fourth Kingsman movie. We have rumors, albeit from very reliable sources, but still, take everything with a grain of salt.
According to Egerton, the script for the new movie is already done. His character will be the center of the storyline once again. The details, however, aren’t disclosed, but we might have some pieces of information about the potential title of the movie.
Some online sources claim that the title of the movie will be Kingsman: The Blue Blood. While it might mean a couple of different things, “blue blood” is usually connected to royalty, prominence, or wealth. That makes me believe we’ll get to see Eggsy and the Kingsmen face somebody from the highest social class – perhaps even royalty.
Kingsman 4 Release Date
It’s hard to say when Kingsman: The Blue Blood will be released, as there’s not even an official announcement of the movie out yet, let alone a release date.
The prequel movie, The King’s Man, had September 18, 2020, as the designated release date at first. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, everything got pushed further, and the movie is just coming out now (December 22, 2021).
If everything went according to plan, we’d likely see Kingsman 4 somewhere in late 2022/early 2023. But now that the entire franchise is pushed for over a year, it’s hard to determine when The Blue Blood will get released.

We can speculate and take an educated guess, though. Kingsman: The Secret Service was out in 2014, and the sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, came out in 2017. The third movie, The King’s Man, should have been out in 2020, so we can see a pattern of the movies being released around three years apart from one another.
If Vaughn and the team continue to follow the same pattern, then Kingsman 4 might be out at some point in 2024. However, due to The King’s Man being postponed so many times, perhaps the fourth movie will come quicker.
Kingsman 4 Trailer
Unfortunately, the production of Kingsman 4 hasn’t started yet, so there’s no trailer for the movie. However, Vaughn revealed that when he and Jane Goldman were writing the script for The Golden Circle, they already had the story’s next chapter in mind.
If you add Taron Egerton later saying he had already seen the script, I think it’s safe to say that the plot of The Golden Circle will have at least some importance for Kingsman 4.
Kingsman 4 Plot
Remember how I told you that there has to be a reason why the producers decided to go with the prequel movie before continuing Eggsy’s trilogy? Well, I believe some events or characters from The King’s Man will play a vital role in Kingsman 4, so Vaughn and the producers wanted to set the tone before giving us the climax of Eggsy’s storyline.
It’s almost certain that Colin Firth’s Harry Hart will be back as well, but the plot is still uncertain. Judging by the rumored title, The Blue Blood, one could assume that the Kingsmen will deal with some sort of royalty – either protecting someone very wealthy and influential or fighting somebody with high social status.
That’s just speculation, though. For all we know, the Kingsmen might deal with a virus that turns your blood blue. That’s a reach, to say the least, but who knows if the title will even stay once the movie hits production time.
Other speculations say that we might finally see Eggsy mature and become the “real deal.” He might finally become the teacher instead of being a student, guiding a new member of the Kingsman through training, just like Harry Hart guided him.
Also, if it’ll tie up with The Golden Circle film, and if The King’s Man plot will be of any significance for Kingsman 4, we can expect some enemies of the past coming back to bite Eggsy and the Kingsmen. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Kingsman 4 Cast
Nobody is confirmed to be back for Kingsman 4 yet, as the movie still isn’t officially announced, but if The Blue Blood does happen, we can rest assured that Taron Egerton’s character is coming back, as well as Colin Firth’s.
We also know that Mark Strong’s Merlin isn’t coming back, as he got blown up in The Golden Circle, while Pedro Pascal and Julianne Moore both died as well, so the three characters might appear only in some flashbacks or something like that.
As for The Statesman (the American version of the Kingsman organization), aka Channing Tatum and Halle Berry, it’s unclear if they’ll have a part in Kingsman 4. However, some rumors suggest that a spin-off movie based on the Statesman is also in the making, so you never know.
Also, Matthew Vaughn confirmed that he’s gunning for Dwayne Johnson to portray the main villain in the movie. It would be a mighty cast that would surely shatter the box office, especially if The King’s Man gets any kind of success.
Will There Be More Kingsman Movies After Kingsman 4?
To the thrill of countless Kingsman fans, including myself, it seems that we’ll get much more than just a fourth movie in the franchise.
As mentioned before, MARV Production CEO Zygi Kamasa confirmed that Matthew Vaughn has “like, seven” Kingsman movies planned out. The production of each solely depends on how successful the upcoming movies will be.
That means we might get at least four more movies in the franchise, not including the rumored Statesman spin-off. But, believe it or not – there’s more.

We might also get a Kingsman TV show, which I find incredible. The first plan was to have it on Netflix, but nothing is set in stone yet.
Overall, things are looking good for all of us Kingsman fans. Let’s just hope at least some of the planned projects come to fruition.
