Kingsman movies in order

If you are a fan of action comedies, then you certainly love ‘Kingsman’ movies. The franchise is not that old, but it already has multiple installments. ‘Kingsman’ movies are based on the comic book series of the same name created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The first movie came out in 2014, and it doesn’t look like they will stop making them anytime soon. Currently, the franchise has three movies and 1 short film, and today, we’re going to tell you how to watch them in order.

Editor’s Note: This watch order was updated in November 2023 to include the recent news regarding the ‘Kingsman’ franchise.

All 4 ‘Kingsman’ movies in release date order

‘The Kingsman’ film franchise is based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ comic series, starting with the 2012 release ‘The Secret Service’ and followed by sequels ‘The Big Exit’ and ‘The Red Diamond’ in 2017 and 2018. Originally named ‘The Secret Service,’ the series was rebranded after the first film’s release and is set in Mark Millar’s shared ‘Millarworld’ universe, referenced in other works like ‘Kick-Ass,’ and later continuing in the 2023 comic series ‘Big Game’ featuring Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin aiming to prevent an assassination. Having said that here’s the ‘Kingsman’ movie franchise in release date order:

  1. ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ (2015)
  2. ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ (2017)
  3. ‘#TBT to That Time Archer Met Kingsman’ (2017)
  4. ‘The King’s Man’ (2021)

Are all ‘Kingsman’ movies connected? What’s the best way to watch them?

All ‘Kingsman’ movies are connected and set within the same continuity. The release date order, however, is not exactly the same as the chronological order. The first movie introduces Eggsy Unwin (Taron Egerton), a young man recruited into a secret spy organization called Kingsman. The organization’s members, including Harry Hart (Colin Firth), are impeccably dressed and highly skilled agents. The film follows Eggsy’s training and the mission to thwart a global threat, and the story builds up from here. The best way to watch the movies however is in chronological order.
