Godzilla has had a huge few days. Takashi Yamazaki’s ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ opened in Japan on November 3, the date fans celebrate as Godzilla Day, and the sequel arrives in North American theaters on November 6.

Toho also used the festivities to crown Xenolhu as the winner of its fan-voted contest for a new Godzilla rival. Now another big reveal is giving collectors a reason to get excited. LEGO has unveiled its first-ever Godzilla set. As DiscussingFilm shared, the first official images show the towering build, which will cost $449.99 in the United States.

The set comes from the LEGO Ideas line as set number 21375 and includes 5,363 pieces. In the United Kingdom, it is priced at £349.99. It’s also a huge display piece. The finished model stands more than 27.5 inches, or 70 centimeters, tall and measures about 15.5 inches, or 40 centimeters, wide at the base, and Consequence called it easily the largest creature build ever.

The design is based on Godzilla’s look in Legendary’s Monsterverse films. The official images show the monster in dark gray bricks with bright blue dorsal fins running down his back and tail. The model includes several posable features. The head can tilt up and down, and the arms, wrists, and fingers can be adjusted for different poses.

Fans can also choose how to display the King of the Monsters. A small tongue can sit in Godzilla’s mouth, or builders can swap it for a brick-built blue atomic breath effect, and the tail can be attached facing left or right.

Movement is limited overall, though, so the set is mainly designed for display rather than play. The set started as a fan creation. LEGO Ideas user Matthew Esposito, known as MattE720, submitted the design in December 2023.

His concept took more than 2 years to reach the 10,000 supporters needed for official consideration. Godzilla’s official website describes the final product as the largest LEGO Ideas set released so far.

The set launches on Black Friday, November 27. Buyers who order early can also get a bonus gift. The Godzilla Logo and Footprint set, number 40888, includes 359 pieces. It features a Godzilla footprint, a brick-built logo, a miniature cityscape, and a small Mothra detail.

The gift is available with purchases of the main set placed before November 30 or while supplies last. Some fans had already spotted the set before the official announcement. Images of the box reportedly appeared on store shelves ahead of the reveal, sparking excitement online.

Now that LEGO has confirmed the details, collectors know exactly what they’re getting and what it will cost. At $449.99, the set is clearly aimed at serious collectors. Its size, piece count, and detail put it among LEGO’s biggest premium builds.

For Godzilla fans, the timing could hardly be better. Between ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’, the Xenolhu reveal, and now a giant LEGO tribute, it’s a big moment for one of cinema’s most famous monsters. Whether it ends up on display at home or on a holiday wish list, LEGO’s Godzilla is sure to stand out on any shelf.
