Limited Edition Professor X and Mystique Funko Pops for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Revealed
Funko has already turned ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ into one of its biggest Marvel collections in years. Pre-orders for the main wave opened on October 5, bringing a lineup of Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men characters to collectors ahead of the film’s December 18 release.
The collection is led by several versions of Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, including a classic Pop, a Funko-exclusive Lord Doom figure, a Pop and Buddy set with Franklin Richards, and a die-cast Doom in an acrylic case. Standard figures in the line cost $14.99.
Now collectors have a first look at 2 more additions. Images shared online by leaker ScarletJokerTWT show limited edition Professor X and Mystique Funko Pops for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, though Funko hasn’t officially announced either figure yet.
The Professor X Pop shows the mutant leader seated in his wheelchair wearing a dark suit, with his trademark bald head and focused expression. According to the leaked artwork, it will be a Target exclusive limited to 9,500 pieces, with a release date of November 8.
The Mystique Pop gives the shapeshifter her signature blue, textured skin, bright red hair, and yellow eyes, paired with a white outfit and a skull-topped headpiece. It’s listed as an Amazon exclusive limited to 5,000 pieces, arriving November 25.

The Professor X figure carries extra emotional weight this week. Patrick Stewart, who has played Charles Xavier for decades, died at 86 on October 28, and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will feature his final performance in the role.
Fans have been sharing tributes to Stewart across social media, and Ian McKellen noted in his own heartfelt tribute that his friend’s farewell performance is still to come. For many collectors, this figure may become a keepsake honoring the actor’s legacy.

Until now, Professor X had only appeared in the collection as part of Bitty Pop multipacks, including a 4-pack and a 2-pack with Magneto. A standalone figure gives fans a more prominent way to celebrate the character.
The new figures expand an already strong X-Men presence in the collection. The main wave includes Magneto, Cyclops and Gambit, with Nightcrawler as an Entertainment Earth exclusive, Beast as a Walmart exclusive, and a 10-inch jumbo Sentinel.
That focus matches the film itself. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ brings back several X-Men franchise stars, including Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden. Mystique’s inclusion is especially notable since the character hasn’t had much presence in the film’s promotional push so far. The figure could be a hint at her role in the story.

The low production numbers make these figures especially appealing to collectors. With just 5,000 Mystique Pops and 9,500 Professor X Pops, both are likely to disappear quickly once they go on sale.
Retail exclusives have become a big part of Funko’s strategy for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, with Target already carrying the Doom and Franklin set and a Bucky Barnes figure. Adding Professor X and Mystique continues that approach.

With the film opening on December 18, Marvel’s merchandise push is in full swing, from glowing Doom popcorn buckets to premium format posters. These new Pops add another option for fans looking to celebrate the X-Men’s big return.
Since the figures haven’t been officially confirmed, details could still change. If the leaked information holds, collectors will want to mark November 8 and November 25 on their calendars.
