The White Lotus is gearing up for another season of lavish vacations, questionable morals, and inevitable chaos. HBO’s Emmy-winning series, created by Mike White, is preparing to film its fourth season, and while past seasons have taken us to new exotic locations, this time, it looks like the show might be returning to familiar territory—at least in a geographical sense.

After the upcoming third season takes a detour to Thailand, Season 4 is expected to bring the drama back to Europe. HBO’s Head of Drama, Francesca Orsi, recently confirmed that Europe is the most likely destination for the next chapter, though the exact location is still undecided.

We’re going on some locations scouting in the next couple of weeks, so we’ll know soon. I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe,” Orsi shared at the Season 3 premiere event. She also mentioned that while Europe is the frontrunner, nothing is set in stone until the scouting process is complete.

For a while, there was speculation that each season of The White Lotus could take place on a new continent. Some fans hoped Season 4 would head to Africa or South America, but that idea seems less likely now. Instead, the series might be revisiting the continent that gave us its most scandalous season yet.

There are plenty of potential spots in Europe that could serve as the next White Lotus destination. HBO has previously filmed in places like Spain for Game of Thrones, making it a strong candidate. The South of France, with its luxurious coastline, or even a more unexpected winter setting like the Swiss Alps, could also be in the mix.

A key factor in selecting a location could be the show’s ongoing collaboration with the Four Seasons hotel chain, which has provided the lavish resorts that serve as the backdrop for each season. The French Riviera, home to one of the most iconic Four Seasons properties, is another potential contender.

No matter where Season 4 ends up, we can expect the same mix of wealth, dysfunction, and unexpected twists that have defined the show. As we wait for official confirmation on the location, what destination would you love to see next? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
