Madison Beer Finally Gets Her ‘Fortnite’ Icon Skin, and She Says It Rivals a Grammy Nod

Celebrity crossovers have become one of ‘Fortnite’s biggest traditions, and the Madison Beer ‘Fortnite’ collab might be the most personal one yet. Epic Games’ Icon Series has already brought in names like Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Eminem, Lady Gaga, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, and Kim Kardashian. But few of those stars have been as openly obsessed with the battle royale as the Grammy-nominated singer behind “Reckless,” “Selfish,” and “Make You Mine.”

Beer has been a devoted player since around 2022, when she got a PC setup, and the game took over her free time. Her music later arrived on the platform as emotes and Jam Tracks, and in February she made a memorable appearance on ‘Hot Ones,’ where she pleaded with Epic to stop changing the game and jokingly asked for her own character skin.

Just 7 months after that plea, Epic Games confirmed that Beer is the newest member of the Icon Series. After weeks of rumors, the studio dropped a trailer featuring the singer, and her full collection arrives in the Item Shop on Thursday, September 24, at 8 p.m. ET, or 5 p.m. PT.

Beer herself made the news official on Instagram, teasing her 39.3 million followers that she would see them in the Item Shop the next day. The reveal quickly took over social media. One fan replying to the post had a single request: that the photo pose better be one of her emotes.

The collab includes 2 outfits, each pulled from memorable Beer moments. The first recreates the bedazzled pink angel look she wore at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The second is a more casual look with a navy blue top, white shorts, knee-high socks, and a microphone holster.

The bundle also includes Back Blings such as wings and a cat accessory, Pickaxes, Emotes, and Jam Tracks. Epic doesn’t confirm pricing before items hit the shop, so estimates vary, with Vice guessing around 4,000 V-Bucks for the full set and Beebom predicting between 2,800 and 3,600 V-Bucks. Players should also be able to buy items separately.

For Beer, this clearly means much more than a brand deal. “I would say this is definitely up there with being nominated for a Grammy and playing [Madison Square Garden],” the 27-year-old told Billboard. “There are things in my life that I am just obsessed with, and that I would die for, and Fortnite is one of them.”

She also told the outlet she was very hands-on with the collaboration and recalled that simply getting an emote once felt like the best day of her life. Her gaming roots go deeper than most people might expect, reaching back to a childhood Nintendo DS, ‘Super Mario Galaxy’ on the Wii, and ‘Grand Theft Auto’ cheat codes she still remembers.

The celebration doesn’t stop with the Item Shop drop. Players can compete in the Madison Beer Icon Cup starting Thursday in the Duos Reload, Duos Zero Build, and Solo Reload modes.

Beer will also go live on Twitch on Friday, September 25, to show off her skins and cosmetics herself. Considering how much of her real-life gaming habit fans have already seen, the stream could be one of the more genuine celebrity ‘Fortnite’ moments in recent memory.

The timing is also crowded for the game. Beer arrives during ‘Fortnite’ Chapter 7 Season 4, and Beebom predicts she could steal some of the spotlight from rapper Lil Tecca in Fortnite Festival Season 15.
