Marvel Just Revealed Six New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Faction Posters, and They Show Every Team’s Home Base

Marvel Studios has spent the better part of a year rolling out its promotional campaign for December’s massive crossover event in careful, deliberate stages, treating international markets as prime real estate for major reveals. Every new region the marketing tour touches down in seems to bring another piece of the puzzle into focus.

The latest stop on that world tour has given fans their clearest visual breakdown yet of just how many separate factions this film is juggling.

New posters for the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ teams are on display in Japan, showcasing the distinct home bases for each of the film’s major factions. According to ComicBookMovie’s coverage of a similar set first shown at Shanghai Expo 2026, the six-poster set features the Avengers Base, Wakanda, New Avengers Tower, the Baxter Building, the X-Mansion, and Doctor Doom’s throne room, giving fans a visual roadmap of exactly how many different corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this film is bringing together.

This isn’t the first time Marvel has used a major international expo to reveal new promotional material for the film, either. The studio’s official Japanese account previously unveiled a region-specific poster confirming that ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will release simultaneously in Japan and the United States on December 18, a detail Japanese fans reportedly welcomed given past instances where MCU releases, even a spoiler-sensitive title like ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ were delayed by weeks in the territory.

The sheer number of factions represented across these six posters underscores just how massive this crossover event is shaping up to be. According to Notebookcheck, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to feature as many as 60 heroes spanning the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four franchises, a scale that dwarfs even the studio’s previous large-scale ensemble efforts.

That scale has also fueled ongoing fan speculation about which specific characters belong to which team. A previous Disney event in Italy reportedly revealed that Sam Wilson’s Captain America leads a group alongside Thor, Ant-Man, Shang-Chi, and, in a surprising twist, Loki, according to Yahoo’s reporting on the reveal. Fans have continued piecing together similar team breakdowns from convention appearances and promotional artwork ever since, including speculation sparked by an Easter-themed artwork Robert Downey Jr. himself shared, which included symbols tied to Doctor Strange and Spider-Man alongside more expected factions like the X-Men and Fantastic Four.

The Tokyo display also follows Marvel’s continued rollout of a wide-format 2026 Avengers poster, first debuted during Japan’s “Hero’s Day Avengers Major News Announcement Event,” which brought together many of the film’s confirmed cast members in a single sweeping piece of art. That same event also confirmed ‘Avengers: Endgame’ would return to Japanese theaters ahead of ‘Doomsday’s’ release, mirroring similar re-release strategies used elsewhere around the world.

With the film’s December 18 release date drawing closer and marketing efforts clearly ramping up across multiple international markets simultaneously, these faction-specific posters give fans their most organized look yet at how Marvel plans to structure this sprawling, multi-team story. Given how much ground this crossover needs to cover across dozens of characters and storylines, breaking the marketing down by faction and home base seems like a deliberate attempt to make an otherwise overwhelming ensemble feel more digestible ahead of release.
