Marvel Studios Officially Announced New Disney+ Show ‘Agatha: House of Harkness’

We’re kinda disappointed the show isn’t called ‘It’s been Agatha all along’, but okay, Marvel probably knows better.

On Disney+ Day, Marvel Studios officially announced the Agatha spin-off show after it surfaced last month that the show is in development with Kathryn Hahn set to reprise the role of the fan-favorite witch.

If you’ve watched WandaVision, and you probably have, then you know who’s Agatha Harkness. WandaVision debuted on Disney+ in January this year as the first-ever Marvel Studios TV show. The show featured Kathryn Hahn that started the show as the noisy neighbor and ended it as the powerful villain with the grudge against Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff. Agatha is also probably the most deserving person that Wanda finally earned her official superhero name – Scarlet Witch – in MCU.

It’s been known for a while now that WandaVision show has set up the upcoming movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but that’s only if you ask Elizabeth Olsen, who will reprise the role of Scarlet Witch alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the movie that will hit theaters next May.

But, what about Agatha? At the end of WandaVision, Wanda imprisoned Agatha in Westview, and it’s unknown how could her story continue from there. Although, it’s still unknown if the Agatha: House of Harkness will be set after the events of WandaVision, or will it serve as some kind of prequel. That remains to be seen.

Disney unveiled the first official logo of the show, and it was announced on their official social media accounts that the show is coming soon, and we all know what “coming soon” means in Hollywood’s dictionary. Still, it’s a great thing we’ll see Agatha again. After all, Kevin Feige promised that Kathryn Hahn will eventually return to Marvel Cinematic Universe.
