Marvel Studios’ Phase 6 Lineup Unveiled
Marvel Studios is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Phase 6. This phase promises a mix of fresh faces and returning heroes, all part of the Multiverse Saga’s grand finale.
I’m thrilled to dive into the nine officially announced projects, from big-screen blockbusters to gripping Disney+ series. Let’s break down each one and see what’s coming our way.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025)

This film kicks off Phase 6 on July 26, 2025, bringing Marvel’s first family to life in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world. Directed by Matt Shakman, it stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm.
The Fantastic Four face Galactus, a cosmic planet-devourer played by Ralph Fiennes, with Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer. The movie sets up multiverse connections leading into the Avengers films, blending family dynamics with epic stakes.
Eyes of Wakanda (2025)

This animated series, debuting on Disney+ on August 6, 2025, explores Wakanda’s elite warriors, the Hatut Zeraze. Produced by Marvel Animation and Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media, it follows their global quests to reclaim vibranium artifacts across history.
Voices include Cress Williams and Anika Noni Rose. The show dives deep into Wakanda’s lore, offering a fresh angle on its culture and history, distinct from the Black Panther films.
Wonder Man (2025)

Set to premiere on Disney+ in December 2025, ‘Wonder Man’ stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a Hollywood actor turned superhero. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, this Marvel Spotlight series spans ten episodes.
Ben Kingsley reprises his role as Trevor Slattery, adding humor to this action-packed story. Simon’s journey from villain to Avenger connects to broader MCU threads, making this a quirky yet grounded addition.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (2026)

Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2, hitting Disney+ in March 2026. This eight-episode run, under Marvel Television, follows the first season’s gritty revival of the Netflix series.
Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Kingpin, with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher crossing over. The show doubles down on street-level action and moral dilemmas, keeping fans hooked on Hell’s Kitchen’s hero.
Punisher (2026)

A ‘Marvel Studios Special Presentation’ centered on Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle arrives on Disney+ in 2026. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who co-writes with Bernthal, this standalone builds on the character’s brutal legacy from Netflix and ‘Daredevil’.
Expect a raw, intense story diving into Frank’s vigilante justice. This special ties into the MCU’s darker street-level corner, delivering a compact yet powerful punch.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)

Tom Holland swings back as Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, releasing July 31, 2026. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, this Sony-Marvel collaboration picks up after ‘No Way Home’, with Zendaya returning and Sadie Sink joining.
Peter tries to balance college life and heroics, facing a new threat. Filming starts in August 2025 in London and Glasgow, promising a fresh start for Spidey in the MCU.
Vision Quest (2026)

Paul Bettany stars as Vision in this Disney+ series, set for 2026. A spin-off from ‘WandaVision’, it’s run by Terry Matalas and features James Spader as Ultron, exploring Vision’s resurrection and purpose.
This Marvel Television show digs into the synthezoid’s identity, with Emily Hampshire and T’Nia Miller in the cast. It’s a key piece of the multiverse puzzle before the Avengers films.
Avengers: Doomsday (2026)

Dropping December 18, 2026, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is directed by the Russo brothers, with Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. This ensemble film, replacing ‘The Kang Dynasty’, stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, and the Fantastic Four cast.
Set 14 months after ‘Thunderbolts’, it weaves together multiverse heroes like the X-Men and New Avengers. Filming begins in 2026, setting up a massive clash with Doom.
Avengers: Secret Wars (2027)

The Multiverse Saga ends with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ on December 17, 2027. Also directed by the Russos, it features Downey’s Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four, with filming starting mid-2026 at Pinewood Studios.
This epic unites the Avengers, Wakandans, and X-Men against a universe-shattering threat. It may soft-reboot the MCU, closing Phase 6 with a bang.
