Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now behind us, and Marvel fans are now focused on waiting for the next entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — Thor: Love and Thunder — the God of Thunder’s fourth solo movie, which makes Chris Hemsworth’s character the first MCU hero with four standalone movies.
In the newest post on Twitter, Marvel Studios revealed a video in which writer/director Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, and Tessa Thompson announce that the next trailer will arrive this Monday, during the fourth game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
“You’re going to Love this. Tune in Monday to watch the all-new trailer for Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder during Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.” — Marvel Studios
Following the events of Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, the God of Thunder is trying to find a new purpose in his life while traveling around the universe with Guardians of the Galaxy, who will also appear in this movie ahead of their next adventure in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to be released in May 2023. Taikia Waititi returns as a writer and director, and he will also reprise the role of Korg.
Many fans are expecting the first look at Gorr, the God Buther, who will be portrayed in the movie by The Dark Knight star Christian Bale! It’s safe to say Marvel will offer some glimpse at him in the next trailer. Natalie Portman also returns to the franchise as Jane Foster, only this time she will become Mighty Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
