Marvel’s Loki: New Season 2 Set Photos Surfaced

Marvel’s Loki premiered last year exclusively on Disney+. The series followed the titular character following his escape in Avengers: Endgame, which opened a new timeline separated from the main MCU timeline where Loki was killed by Thanos at the beginning of the Infinity War. The first season ended with the post-credit scene which announced that the series will return with Season 2, which makes Marvel’s Loki the first MCU Disney+ series to be renewed for the second season.
Marvel’s Loki started production of the second season last month, and as the filming goes forward, we are getting new set photos which might give us some clues on what the second season will be about. The second season will continue right where the first one left off, but the general plot of the second season is still kept under wraps. Recently, new set photos surfaced, showing us the main actor Tom Hiddleston wearing Loki’s regular TV attire. You can check the photos below:
The first season of the series ended with Sylvie Laufeydottir, who is one of Loki’s numerous time variants, killing the founder and the leader of TVA He Who Remains, which breached the sacred timeline, opening many alternate timelines which led to the breaking of the Multiverse. He Who Remains actor Jonathan Majors is set to return as Kang the Conqueror in the future of the MCU, so it is expected that this is how this new villain will be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although most of the Disney+ Marvel series are limited, Loki can continue with its story because the story of the series is happening outside of the MCU’s main timeline, and whatever happens in the series, it will not affect the main timeline, unless the writers decide otherwise. Opening the gates of the Multiverse is giving the MCU a lot of new possibilities, and who knows how is all that preparing the next huge saga of currently the biggest movie franchise in the world.
