Spider-Man: Brand New Day
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. The film is set for release on July 31, 2026, with some international markets opening a day earlier.
According to the official synopsis, four years have passed since ‘No Way Home,’ and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of the people he loves. As he devotes himself fully to protecting a city that no longer knows his name, the pressure sparks a physical evolution he may not be able to control, even as a new pattern of crimes reveals one of his most powerful threats yet.
Ruffalo’s involvement marks his first major appearance in a Spider-Man film, arriving fourteen years after he joined the MCU in ‘The Avengers’. Sadie Sink is stepping into a still undisclosed major role, and Bernthal’s Frank Castle is expected to serve as an unlikely ally to Peter in a story that leans heavily on isolation and identity.
Avengers: Doomsday
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ brings Robert Downey Jr. back to the franchise in a very different capacity. He plays Victor Von Doom rather than Tony Stark, with the casting first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024 and confirmed with a first look at CinemaCon 2026. The Russo brothers, who previously directed ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ are back in the director’s chair.
The film had originally targeted a spring 2026 release, but both ‘Doomsday’ and its follow up ‘Secret Wars’ were pushed later, with ‘Doomsday’ shifting from May 1, 2026 to December 18, 2026. The story is described as taking place roughly fourteen months after the events of ‘Thunderbolts,’ bringing together the original Avengers, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Wakandans, and the original X-Men to face Doctor Doom.
The confirmed cast is enormous. Marvel’s own materials list Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Hemsworth, and later reports confirmed that Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers, continuing directly from his ‘Avengers: Endgame’ ending.
The Fantastic Four 2
Marvel’s next entry for the First Family is already moving forward, even though it does not yet have an official title. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are all confirmed to reprise their roles as Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm.
The sequel to ‘The Fantastic Four, First Steps’ is currently scheduled for release on May 7, 2027, and will feature the same main cast that appears earlier in ‘Avengers, Doomsday’. That places the team’s next standalone outing directly after their crossover into the wider Avengers storyline.

Avengers: Secret Wars
The Multiverse Saga’s planned conclusion, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ follows ‘Doomsday’ by exactly one year on the calendar. The film’s release date shifted from May 7, 2027 to December 17, 2027, alongside the delay of ‘Doomsday’, and it remains co directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay from Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
Because its predecessor has not yet been released, plot and cast information for ‘Secret Wars’ remains limited, and Marvel has kept most details tightly under wraps. What is known is that the film is intended to close out the Multiverse Saga that began years earlier with ‘Avengers, Infinity War.’
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Outside the MCU proper, Sony’s animated Spider-Verse trilogy is finally reaching its conclusion. ‘Spider-Man, Beyond the Spider-Verse’ is currently slated for June 18, 2027, after being pushed back several times since it was first announced in 2021.
