McFarlane Toys Reveals Its ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Lineup, With Doctor Doom Leading the Way
With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ about 6 weeks away, collectors have been getting a steady stream of merchandise from Marvel’s next team-up. Hasbro, Hot Toys, and others have already shown their lines, and now McFarlane Toys has joined with its own ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ figures. Hasbro’s first Marvel Legends wave included Gambit, Doom, Cyclops, Shang-Chi, Captain America and Thor, with an Amazon-exclusive Magneto.
Collectors have plenty of options. Hot Toys previously revealed sixth-scale figures of Dr. Doom, Magneto, Cyclops and Gambit, and the merchandise push has reached nearly every format, from S.H.Figuarts to a Marvel Legends version of Lord Doom. Amazon’s listings also include a Titan Series Doctor Doom and a Doctor Doom Power Surge FX mask.
Now McFarlane has shown its own take. Avengers Updates shared the first look at McFarlane Toys’ Doctor Doom, Thor, Cyclops, Gambit, Mr. Fantastic and The Thing figures, split between a 1:6 scale pair and a 1:10 scale lineup. In the larger set, Thor stands with his weapon over his shoulder next to a hooded Doom, while the smaller lineup shows Cyclops in a dynamic leap, Gambit, Doom, The Thing and Mister Fantastic.
Collectors won’t have to wait long. According to McFarlane Toys, Cyclops, Gambit, and Victor von Doom launch for pre-order on November 10th at select retailers. Thor and Doctor Doom in 1:6 scale also go up for pre-order on November 10th at 12 pm ET.
The larger statues come with several extras. The 1:6 scale statues stand approximately 10-11 inches tall, and each includes an environmental base, a backdrop scene, an art card, and a mini poster. The bases on the smaller figures in the image also appear to be sculpted, giving each character its own setting.

The Fantastic Four figures will require a trip to specific stores. The Thing will be available exclusively at Walmart, and Mister Fantastic is available exclusively in-store at Target. Collectors hoping for the whole set will probably need to visit both.
The Fantastic Four figures wear their team uniforms, and Reed’s look stands out. Mister Fantastic wears a white jacket over his blue suit, while The Thing is in the matching team outfit. Both fit Marvel’s push to put Marvel’s First Family at the center of the film’s marketing.

Doom appears in both scales. The 1:6 statue shows him in his green cloak and metal armor, while the 1:10 version puts him in the middle of the lineup with heroes on either side. That suits a film built around Robert Downey Jr.’s villain.

The X-Men characters are popular too. Cyclops and Gambit have been regular choices across toy lines, appearing in both Hasbro’s and Hot Toys’ first waves, and McFarlane’s 1:10 versions add 2 more options. The film brings back legacy Fox X-Men stars, including James Marsden as Cyclops and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

McFarlane’s reveal is part of Marvel’s huge marketing campaign for the film. Food chains, car brands and collectible makers have all joined in, with the crossover of Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four characters giving toy companies plenty to work with.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arrives in US theaters on Dec. 18, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Collectors who want McFarlane’s figures should be ready when pre-orders open on November 10.
