MCU Merch Just Gave Us The First Look At Young Franklin Richards in ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is one of the most exciting upcoming MCU releases. The movie will introduce Marvel’s first family to the cinematic universe, following failed attempts to bring them to the big screen, well, depending on who you’re asking.

We know that the main cast of the movie, Pascal will be portraying Reed Richards, and Vanessa Kirby will be portraying Sue Storm. Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn will star as Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm, respectively.

Soon after the movie was announced, rumors appeared that the movie would also feature Franklin and Valeria Richards, Sue’s and Reed’s children. Franklin will reportedly have some kind of a connection to Galactus (Ralph Ineson) as the child will reportedly be born in space.

This rumor was later confirmed by the movie’s official synopsis, by set leaks that showed Sue carrying what appears to be a baby, and by the most recent trailer that showcases Sue telling Reed she is pregnant.

While we do know that Franklin will be an important plot point in the movie, the details regarding him are currently nonexistent. Luckily, some official merch recently leaked and the action figures show our first look at one of the most powerful Marvel characters ever created:

Filming for the movie started on July 30, 2024, at Pinewood Studios in England. The working title during production was Blue Moon. The movie was shot using IMAX cameras, and Jess Hall, who worked on WandaVision, came back as the cinematographer.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 25, 2025, as the first film, and beginning, of Phase Six of the MCU.
