MCU’s New Falcon Danny Ramirez Awaits the Call: “I Have My Phone on Me 24/7” for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is going to be Sam Wilson’s first standalone outing as Captain America, but it’s also going to be Danny Ramirez’s first movie outing as Falcon, taking on the mantle from Anthony Mackie himself.
Lieutenant Joaquín Torres is a U.S. Air Force officer and a close friend of Sam Wilson. After the Blip, he met Sam during a mission and helped him fight the Flag Smashers. When Sam became the new Captain America, he passed his Falcon wingsuit to Torres, making him the new Falcon.
So far, Ramirez has one MCU project, under the belt – ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ but beyond ‘Brave New World’ the actor clearly hopes for more.
Danny Ramirez recently humorously said that he’s always ready and waiting for a call from Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, to reprise his role as Falcon in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ By mentioning that he keeps his phone with him 24/7 and hopes for a “Caller ID: Kevin [Feige]” notification.
“I have my phone on me 24/7… I’m waiting to just see ‘Caller ID: Kevin [Feige]’ to be tapped in, but so far he hasn’t said anything.”
Ramirez however admitted that he doesn’t know whether he will be featured in the movie.
What are the odds of Ramirez actually appearing in ‘Doomsday?’ While the plot remains largely under wraps, speculation suggests that the film may adapt the ‘Time Runs Out’ storyline. And, naturally, we can expect to see Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in all his glory.
Considering Nate Moore’s recent comments that Sam Wilson will lead the Avengers through this ordeal, it stands to reason that Captain America will have his trusty sidekick by his side.
Although many actors are rumored to appear in ‘Doomsday,’ only a few have been officially confirmed so far. We can look forward to the main cast of ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ making an appearance, along with Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, and Hayley Atwell.
