‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ has become one of Netflix’s more unusual entertainment exports from South Korea, built around a guesthouse that only makes sense inside the mind of its creator. The premise is simple on paper and strange in execution, as Kian84 dreams up quirky ideas for a one of a kind B&B and leads guests through unforgettable delights and chaos with the help of a small rotating staff.

Season one introduced viewers to a trio that had almost no business working together, and season two has since reshuffled that lineup entirely. Here is a closer look at who has actually staffed ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ across its run so far.

Kian84

Kim Hee Min, better known by his pen name Kian84, is a cartoonist and entertainer born October 22, 1984, and he is the one constant at the center of the show. Before he was running a guesthouse, he built a following through his comics, having debuted with the webtoon The Veteran, with later works such as Fashion King and Bokhakwang loved by many people.

His television persona is just as distinct as his art. According to a profile from Seoulbeats, Kian freezes unfinished food only to defrost it months later, often disregards expiry dates, and shrugs off fashion trends, ironically, despite being the creator of Fashion King. That unfiltered quality is precisely what producers built the guesthouse around, since the most important thing directors had in mind while making the show was to embrace the unpredictable, Kian like circumstances.

He remains the one cast member who has stayed attached to the project through every version of it. Kian84 and his castmates run a one of a kind guesthouse, and the newly announced second season will showcase another version of the imaginative guesthouse brought to life from his ideas, this time in a completely different setting.

Jin

Jin joined the project as its most unexpected hire, arriving fresh off a major personal milestone. Jin, the first BTS member to complete his mandatory military service, signed on for the reality show alongside actress Ji Ye eun, marking one of his first major projects after returning to civilian life.

The casting apparently was not simply about star power. Producer Jung Hyo min told press that the decision went beyond his fame, explaining that Jin’s human charm had barely been shown to the public and that the show wanted to draw out his real personality.

On screen, Jin settled into a grounding role rather than a flashy one. Recorded in January 2025, the show captures him navigating unfamiliar dynamics with calm humor and quiet adaptability, a tone that carried through the season’s three week run.

That chapter closed when the sequel was cast. On February 26, 2026, Netflix confirmed that Jin would not be returning for season two, ending his run with the show after a single season.

Ji Ye-eun

Ji Ye-eun rounded out the original trio as its youngest member. Born July 26, 1994, she is a South Korean actress and comedian who gained widespread attention after joining Saturday Night Live Korea in 2022, and she is one of the regular cast members of Running Man.

Within the guesthouse, she was framed as the show’s energy, described in Netflix’s own materials as the indispensable youngest employee working alongside Kian84 and Jin.

Away from the show, her personal life has made headlines this year. Ji Ye eun, a regular cast member of Running Man, is set to marry dancer and choreographer Vata in December after roughly a year of dating, according to her agency.

Like Jin, she did not carry over into the follow up season. BTS member Jin and Ji Ye Eun are not part of Kian’s Bizarre B&B season two, leaving Kian84 as the sole returning face.

Kim Yeon-Koung

Season two’s new lineup opens with a name from an entirely different world of celebrity. World class volleyball star Kim Yeon Koung is expected to lead the atmosphere with her signature charisma and lively energy as one of the new staff members.

Her addition signals a shift in the kind of personality the show is now built around, trading the SNL and idol backgrounds of season one for an athlete known for a very different kind of stage presence.

Following a fairly impressive debut run with Jin, Ji Ye Eun, and Kwak Joo Bin alongside host Kian84, the guesthouse is now being joined by three new faces, with Kim Yeon Koung among the most prominent.

Kazuha

The final new hire brings a K-pop connection back to the guesthouse. LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha, a Japanese K-pop star who has previously impressed with her flexibility skills owing to her ballerina roots, has been roped in as a staff member for the Netflix show.

She steps into the role vacated by Ji Ye-eun as the group’s youngest presence, joining a cast built around a much colder backdrop than the one her predecessors worked in. Unlike season one, which was situated on Ulleungdo island during a hot summer, filming for the new season is set to move to Daegwallyeong’s winter scenery.

That change in location appears to be intentional rather than incidental. The new season will present a completely different atmosphere from the summer seas of Ulleungdo, giving Kazuha and her new castmates a version of the guesthouse that has little in common with the one audiences saw in season one.

With Kian84 as the only returning face and three newcomers replacing Jin, Ji Ye-eun, and the tone they brought to the original run, it is worth asking which version of the guesthouse staff fans think will actually work better once season two lands.
